Jason Parks @ProfessorParks

Javier Baez in the game for the #Cubs. His bat speed is so impressive I can see it while he's playing shortstop.

More Parks

I watched Javier Baez hit today. Who needs the Oscars? I'd rather draw a bath, pour some wine, and listen to the sound of his bat speed.

He always latches on to particular players and makes weird comments about them. Usually involving alcohol and/or bubble baths.

Oh kinda like. "I'd like to get drunk and have a bubble bath with Javier Baez #WET"

parks really is a loser.

My first reaction to this was "Didn't they talk about on the podcast a year or two ago how his wife left him?"

rofl your wife sucked anyway

what is it about this [expletive] prospect evaluation job that draws autistic weirdos like parks and law and sickles and kyle (see what i did there)

parks is a full on doosh

Who cares he's saying good stuff bout our prospects. But it is getting kinda old. Kinda reminds me of the guy that no girl likes but he keeps gushing over her after she's already told him to scram.

Parks is who I would have ended up being if I were better at life but with the same personality.

Tony (Chicago... FOR NOW): Sir King Jason the 4th, you saw the Cubs play at their new facility yesterday. My question is this, how many pants did you soil while watching those Cubs prospects?

Jason Parks on the Completed Prospect Rankings: I was very impressed with the facility and the talent on the fields. I wrote a 1500 words of scouting notes (mostly on Baez) and that will be up on the site tomorrow. Here's a tease from the upcoming report:

"Baez has the best bat speed I’ve seen since I started evaluating talent at the minor league level, and it might be some of the best bat speed I’ve seen period. It’s violent—no doubt—and I’m not always sold that he can control the bat after he triggers. But when he unsheathes that weapon and it finds the ball, the cowhide screams in what I believe to both ecstasy and agony."

HoosierCub (Bloomington): Despite having guys like CJ Edwards, Kyle Hendricks, and others, conventional wisdom is that the Cubs have a dearth of arms (in comparison to bats) in their farm system. Any pitching prospects you feel especially good about, or do you agree with that assessment?

Jason Parks on the Completed Prospect Rankings: They have more bats than arms, but Edwards, Johnson, and Blackburn are a nice foundation, and I expect the Cubs to go heavy on arms in the 2014 draft.

i love it when dork losers like parks write some wordy adjective-filled stupidity they're convinced is just hilarious and then they misspell something or drop a word.

"heh its premium content so i can only give you a taste"

*they'll love this [expletive], god it's amazing*

*copy/pastes a dropped word*

Nah, Parks is actually mildly amusing sometimes.
