Interesting to see francescon in the rotation.

I was surprised to see Heesch make the rotation over guys like Dickson and Amlung.

Heesch has been fantastic. Had a no-hitter through 4.2. 6 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K.

Candelario seems to have really improved defensively. I wonder if he improved athletically/physically over the offseason.

He made a nice play just now to start a DP to end the top of the 10th.

Pretty sure Arguello has mentioned he looks to be in much better shape than previously.

Rock Shoulders and Wilson Contreras are killing it early.

Also, what's the scouting report on Heesch?

Good control guy but there's not much else out there on him. He was one of those college senior picks in rounds 6-10 last year (round 8, to be specific) and only got a $10,000 bonus.

Error on Baez. Weak call, should have been a hit.

Soler with his third multi-hit game of the season.

As of the end of today's game, they said on the radio the D-Cubs pen has 17 consecutive scoreless innings. The pitching staff has 41 Ks thus far through 4 games (with one more inning to pitch today).
