He's going to win the Cy Young, isn't he? We could get an epic prospect haul at the deadline.

He looks great, no doubt. No way they trade him though.

Pretty sure he's kidding. Not 100% though. You never know with Kyle.

Fun with Fangraphs:

Cubs hitters collectively below replacement level this season to date. 29th in league (Astros shouldn't even count) in BB%.

4th highest percentage of pitches outside the zone swung at.

10 Ks through four innings for Shark.

I've never seen Shark have an outing where both his stuff was working and he was spotting his fastball as well as he has done today. This is true elite type ace stuff.

They need to shut down Shark for the season like now. All he's doing is drastically jacking up the price of his contract at this point. And let's face it, it' s not like the bullpen isnt going to squander his effort. Seriously though, the Cubs need to get to work on holding him tight and never letting go.

The Cubs have him through 2015. I love the Shark but I'm not sure acting at the height of his value is the most prudent move.

Is it through 2015 or until 2015(through 2014)?

Baseball-Reference has 2016 as his earliest FA date.
