My feeling is Eifert here as well, but would the Packers reach for a high upside LT like Menelik Watson?

You can never rule Thompson out of anything. He might take a kicker after the year Crosby had last year. I think Trufant or Reid could be picks for them as well.

Eifert makes the most sense here.

Houston needs a big time WR to keep up with the Broncos and Patriots in the AFC. Also need to think about how much Andre Johnson has left in the tank. Houston selects Justin Hunter, wr tennessee.

Champ Bailey is old. They need to find a replacement eventually. Denver also needs a new DE after losing Dumervil. Still I think the BPA amount the two positions would be

CB Desmond Trufant over CB Jonathan Banks and DE Tank Carradine.

Denver selects CB Desmond Trufant.

Atlanta is definitely going CB here to try to replace Brent Grimes and Dunta Robinson

Came down to either Blidi Wreh-wilson, Jamar Taylor, or Johnthan Banks (note: does he really spell it like that?).

Falcons take Johnthan Banks CB from Mississippi State.

Apparently yes, though I could have sworn I'd always seen it as Johnathan. Maybe I was just assuming that 'a' was in there.

The 49ers select:

Jonathan Cyprien, S, Florida International

From both a need and talent perpective there are two obvious choices here for the Ravens. I think the take a gamble on Teo's ability to handle the spotlight and pressure over Minter to help fill the ILB void.

Ravens select Manti Teo, LB, Notre Dame.

I think Rasin is back up for Rd2 right?

Oh and I can't beleive we really went to whole first round with no QBs. Obviously we don't trade which will impact things, but I think we'll see at least two or three.

I definitely think at least 1-2 QBs will be taken, but it won't be based on ability.

If the draft really works this way and the Bears pass on Te'o at a position of great need to draft, as a 3rd WR, a guy who's played 1 year of FBS football and only had 1 good game as a receiver against a decent team (Florida) and sucked against the rest of their good opponents (Bama, UGA, USC), I'm going to be so pissed.

Cyprien's already been taken by the Rams.

My bad.

Margus Hunt, DE, SMU

I think you have an inflated opinion of both Te'o and the 4-3 linebacker position in today's NFL. Argue all you want about Patterson but Te'o would have been a reach at 20.

haha. You've got Brown and Ogletree going 1 and 3 spots ahead of where I think Te'o should be drafted. And I'm overrating the LB position? And the Bears need a MLB.

I think you underrate Te'o. I certainly don't swear by Kiper, but it's not like I'm the only one who thinks he makes a lot of sense for the Bears. I can buy not being the top LB on their board, but if the other guys are gone, Te'o makes a lot more sense than Patterson.

Not to mention the whole sucking against Bama issue

Yet Jarvis Jones is a top 5 pick. Is there any other mock in the last month that still has him that high? Bama ran at and over Jones all day.

If Brown or Ogletree isn't the direction we go, I'd just play DJ in the middle and go after the spot again next year. The distraction Te'o brings outweighs his talent, in my mind. I don't really want to spend a 1st on a MLB to begin with.

I wouldn't have picked either of those two that high. Patterson is generally more well thought of than Te'o.
