I don't know about Ian. I am hopefull he'll have a great year this year. But if one of Stewart or Jackson can have a breakout year that would really hasten our rebuild period. Since we really didn't add a core offensive piece this offseason.

Yeah, there have been improvements made in most areas, but the offense needs another bat. Stewart and/or Jackson could go a long way to solving that problem for the next one or two years.

i like jackson's swing. found myself saying 'it's getting loopy' or 'he's going to regress to old form there' but he was repeating well, in the main areas that needed to be facilitated, and looked fluid, as well as though he was going to all fields with level tact. he has his AAA plate appearances, but i wonder if such changes demand more at bats in Iowa for focus' sake.

There's no question that he'll start in Iowa this year and will very likely spend a significant amount of time there.
