What teams still need a DC at this point?

All 3 teams that have yet to hire a head coach - Cardinals, Jaguars, Eagles - as well as the Browns (I think) and Chargers. There's also the possibility a team gets smart and realizes Lovie would be better than their current DC (Titans) and make a change.

The more I read about Trestman, the happier I am about the hire. Although I am concerned that he never earned an NFL HC job after all the crazy success he had in the late 90s and early 2000s. I mean, the guy turned Rich Gannon into the MVP.

So much for staying at Oregon. I wonder if be got wind of major sanctions that were about to hit.

 

Eagles may have agreed to more of his control demands when other candidates fell through. Though sanctions probably played a role.

I like this hire for the Eagles.

 

I don't.

 

I think Kelly is going to need at least a few drafts to get the type of players he needs for his system/scheme and even then it'll be a huge crapshoot. The Eagles really bungled their coaching search imo.

I'll grant you that it might take time. There have been a few coaches from the college ranks who experienced success lately -- Harbaugh, Carroll. I can see Kelly following in that line.

I'll grant you that it might take time. There have been a few coaches from the college ranks who experienced success lately -- Harbaugh, Carroll. I can see Kelly following in that line.

 

 

Coincidentally all of them are Pac-12 (Carrol and Harbaugh, Pac-10) coaches. Quite a collection of coaching talent.
