Do the Bears have a legitimate shot at Clady due to the Cutler/Marshall connection? That would be a pretty sweet pickup.

 

I read that Cutler and Marshall were recruiting him but with the franchise tag available, it won't matter.

Who have we missed out on that disappoints you?

 

Having a head coach in place by mid January is not very important.

East West Shrine Game is Saturday. Not the end of the world, but it would be nice for the new coach to go through the whole draft process.

It's only been 2 weeks. The only teams to actually have filled their head coach spots so far are KC and the Browns. Were you craving Reid or Chud as HC?

Special teams.

 

Why would he leave for another STC position voluntarily?

 

I presume he is still vulnerable if the new HC wants someone different, although it seems like an easy choice to just keep him on provided he wants to stick around.

On NFLN they said that Emery wants to have a coach in place by the 19th.

 

Not sure if that's based on some new info or not but isn't that what he said in the first post-Lovie presser? That's when the East-West game is.

I think I heard Canellis say something about hearing that they expect to have a hire made by Thursday or Friday.

According to one candidate who didn't get Bears job, he was told Emery will bring in 2 finalists to Halas Hall beginning tomorrow.

 

Hard to tell with that wording, but could that mean there's a total of 2 finalists, or 2 finalists tomorrow?
