ESPN needs to focus more time on the Oregon cheerleaders.

It was going to be 15-13 and a decent, if less-than-thrilling, game.

Then boom, missed FG and like 2 plays later. 22-10 and back to blowout.

Klein is a mess. He's playing like a crappy B1G backup QB.

Would you have preferred I said that they lost to Top 10 SEC East teams at home, the type of team you're trying to push them past?

At this point it gets to semantics that I don't really care about. In a 12-14 game season you can argue for 10 different teams to be ranked 10 different ways between 8-17 and not really be wrong. If the SEC being at the head of that pack is proof of bias to you, go for it. I'm sure that's a part of it as bias colors all things, but I'm not seeing the ESPN conspiracy when the objective polls aren't exactly singing a different tune Besides, take your proposed scenario where the SEC has 6 of the Top 15 teams. That's still as many as any two other conferences combined. Like I've said, stronger at the top, the same through the rest gets you to the best overall.

ESPN has a huge contract with the SEC and we all know espn pushes the teams that make it the most money. I'm a little surprised you don't see a conference whose members are consistently placed at the head of each same-loss group as anything but deserved recognition.

ETA-which polls are objective? Just bc they call them computer polls doesn't mean they're free of bias.

As for better at the top, same in the middle, that's not exactly what I said. The SEC has a split that's a mile wide. 6 at the top are quite good. 8 at the bottom that are meh or as bad or worse than any BCS team. I said beating a 6-win SEC team is no different than beating a 6-win team from another BCS conf. They're the biggest conference-they should have more good teams and more bad teams than any other conference-and they do. That's not proof of anything.

Bottom line-there is very little evidence that the SEC is some dominant conference, whereas the evidence suggests that it's overrated.

Is there anyone who cares about perception bias, the SEC and ESPN narratives as much as you? Probably time to give it a rest.

Why are you even here?

Ooh, sick burn. So because I'm pointing out your ridiculous obsession about conspiracies that nobody else cares about you try and make it personal. Whatever helps you feel better, but your stance is completely indefensible and over-the-top in its whininess. I'm guessing you sense this, too.

Kevin Sumlin was on the OU sidelines for that game. Fran was such a worthless POS coach. I have no idea how he was successful at his other coaching stops.

Personal? Your obsession with me is getting scary. I asked why you're in a thread when you don't actually get involved in the discussions, but only jump in to take your cute little swipes at me. It wasn't a burn. It was a legitimate question.

He is also a gigantic weirdo. Had his first kiss on his wedding day

Klein met Kansas State women's basketball player Shalin Spani at the beginning of the 2011 fall semester. They were friends, but one day, Klein said God spoke to him and told him he needed to pursue a deeper relationship with her.

"I felt in late December that God put on my heart and spoke to me and told me that Shalin was a special girl and that I was gonna marry her," Klein told Yahoo! Sports. "I just started praying. I didn't tell anybody because we hadn't talked at all about that to that point. So that happened and I was just praying that God's rule would be done and he would put on my heart what I was supposed to do, when I was supposed to do it and give me the courage to do it."

Klein said Spani had a similar message from God and the two decided to go on their first date on Jan. 30. They were engaged Feb. 17 and married July 21 when he finally had the moment for which he'd been waiting. Klein doesn't begrudge the 10 or so years he missed out on kissing girls. He knew his time would be something special.

I had a friend who thought God spoke to him, too.

Turns out he was bipolar and ended up going to a mental hospital after a full blown schizophrenic episode

So that Klein guy was in the discussion for Heisman?

He's awful.

The last Heisman finalist to go undrafted (pending Montee Ball and Tyrann Mathieu's draft results) was Kellen Moore, a finalist two years ago. I expect Klein's the next one.

It wasn't a swipe; I was legitimately asking why narratives bother you so much. I think everyone gets annoyed at the SEC, but at this point it's like complaining about the Yankees and Red Sox.

People should not complain about the Yankees or Red Sox?

I'm the only one annoyed by the SEC narrative? I'm totally lost on this.

TT, SEC fanboy is the most shocking heel turn since Marty Jannetty got tossed through a window.

This post caused me to google "most shocking heel turns"...top results were freaking Bleacher Report. They had this as #3. They suck at everything.

On this forum? You're the only one I see who consistently brings it up.

There were at least 8 people talking about the SEC being overrated (or a similar term) yesterday alone. I didn't bring it up and I didn't say it was a conspiracy. I'm not sure what your end goal is here, but I don't see a benefit to continuing the discussion when you're pretty blatantly ignoring reality.
