Seems obvious given their SS situation, but that would cost them dearly, I'd think. Maybe Taveras plus - it was my understanding that Colorado has very little interest in moving Tulo. But you know he'd turn into Cal Ripken as soon as he got there.

Your tone sounds like you're trying to be hyperbolic (maybe I'm wrong), but I'm not sure its out of the realm of possibility.

through age 27 Tulo is about a 27 war player in 5+ full seasons averaging around 500PA

through age 27 CalJr was about 43 in 7 full season of over 700PA .

That's a significant difference, but most of it can be attributed to playing time.

In fact, in his age 28 season Ripken put up a 6.3 WAR. Tulo has already done that 3 times in less playing time.

I would say that suggesting he could jump to Cal Ripken levels isn't hyperbolic. He's just not made of Iron -- and maybe that's what you were suggesting.

I'm done obsessing over anything that the Cardinals do. If there's one thing I've learned to accept it's that the Cardinals will always find ways to be good. I have faith that we have the right guys to do the same for us. We have a little ways to go before we get there, but once do, we have the monetary resources to make sure we stay there.

Oh, good, at least you learned something this stupid.

So am I wrong in thinking that they have had 1 losing season in the past 10 years and 2 in the last 15? This isn't a pixie dust, whoa is me, only the Cubs comment, it's an acknowledgement that our chief rival always finds ways to contend, and I feel that in the next few years, we'll be able to do so as well.

You didn't have a point, you posted a non sequitur in response to someone posting a rumor that happened to include the Cardinals.

@Buster_ESPN: The Tigers are starting to see the possible downside in using Bruce Rondon as a closer now, writes Lynn Henning. http://t.co/Dws3bjnPxV

Marmol could be a good one year fix for them while they give Rondon the year as a set up guy.

Perez is injured for awhile, so maybe the Indians might be interested.

The Tigers were trying to rush a 22-year old minor league pitcher to the majors and put him in a significant role without any experience? Get right outta town

Marmol for Porcello? I'm in.

I could certainly see a deal based around that scenrio if it turns out that Garza will be out longer than expected.
