Game 10 - BEARS @ San Francisco 49ers - 7:30 MNF

We still win next week against the Vikings and the Packers lose at New York.

Does it matter? We will lose our first playoff game anyway. At best we win one. This team has no chance of making it to the Super Bowl.

Tell me how we are even close to as good as either of those teams were?

They both snuck into the playoffs and won the Super Bowl. [expletive] happens.

They were also both teams that didn't rely on timely turnovers to win. They were better than this team.

Oh Jesus Christ. I'm not saying the Bears win the Super Bowl. I'm saying get into the playoffs and [expletive] can happen. No [expletive] we should fix the offensive line but that's not happening at this point until the offseason.

Manning and Rodgers are both better than Cutler (Rodgers by a lot) and both teams had/have much better coaching than the Bears.

Yep...so glad we spend so much money on the backup QB instead of o-line upgrades. But don't worry Tice is eventually going to turn all these projects into mediocre players just wait.

That's what many of us have said. Campbell is not that good and your season is fucked if Cutler is out anyways. Would have been better if you spent that backup money on Bush and Campbell on offensive linemen.

Smack has a point.

As terrible as the Bears played tonight and as pessimistic as we all are (and believe me, I'm glad I don't have a gun in the house), it's one game. One freaking game. This same 49ers team lost to the Vikings and also lost to a Giants team that looks just as bad as the Bears. These things happen in the NFL.

I get it.

We aren't fixing the OLine next offseason though. It's one of those things where, I will believe it when I see it.

Well, I am more comfortable with people doubting the Bears. And brother, they'll be doubting the Bears now.

Yeah, the OLine is sad and pathetic. Emery can spend all of our draft picks on it as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone hear any updates on Jeffrey? I heard he went down with a knee injury.

I didn't see this. Hopefully he's ok.

Lovie said "Alshon Jeffrey hurt his knee... a little bit. Don't know exactly how bad it is"

So what is it Lovie? Don't say "a little bit" when you clearly don't know what the extent of the injury is.

slow and steady wins the race, just keep pounding the run.

how do you deal with the Packer fans after a game like this?

I hear tell Smith & Wesson are pretty effective

I'm doing some consulting for Remington these days. "Shoot" some business their way instead, plz.

It's not just one game though. 10 points against the Packers, 13 against the Lions, 6 against Houston, 7 against San Francisco. In addition, the offense has looked terrible in large stretches of the St. Louis, Jacksonville and Carolina games. The only games you could say the Bears offense looked consistently competent is against the Colts (bottom 5 defense in NFL), Dallas (an admittedly strong performance but it helps when your defense helps get you a huge lead with 2 defensive scores) and Tennessee (probably the worst defense in the NFL). I want to believe in the "you're never as bad as you look at your worst" thing but the Bears offense has been in "worst mode" a majority of the season.

The defense I'm willing to excuse as one game. But sadly enough, the offense is clearly among the 10 worst in the NFL backup QB or not.

Yeah, this team isn't even close to a championship contender. The pundits who "underrated" the Bears on the power ranks, causing uproar from many fans, turned out to be 100% correct.

The defense looked horrible. But even if we say the Defense just had a bad game, the offense gives them no chance whatsoever to make a playoff run.

I'm sick of hearing its Cutler's fault. Rodger, Manning, Brees, couldn't have done anything today against the Niners with the Bears offense. We used to hear it was the lack of weapons. Now they have Marshall and some competent receivers. Wrong again. I'm even getting a little sick of hearing it's the offensive line. With good teams with good passing games, its not even possible for Aldon Smith to get to the QB fast enough because they can complete a quick pass.

The Bears haven't had a remotely competent offensive coordinator in the Lovie Smith era. They couldn't outscheme a kid playing Madden on XBox.

btw - Stone Ruination IPA was perfectly appropriate for this game.
