Hah, the Nets fired PJ Carlisimo

He deserved it after losing game 7 to a team that played Marquis Teague at the point and Daequan Cook at the 2 in non-garbage time minutes

He deserved it years ago. He was a bad coach when Sprewell choked his ass.

Joakim Noah. Holy [expletive].

I'm not sure if anyone thought he was going to be this good when he was drafted. Holy [expletive].

What a fantastic game. Brooklyn didn't deserve [expletive].

I [expletive] HATED that pick when it happened, but he's so awesome.

When talking about trades, people always say "only Derrick is untouchable", but I think it's time to add Noah to that list.

I didn't like the pick either. Didn't see the offensive upside in his game. He's still not a dominant scorer on the interior. But maybe more importantly, he's a great passer and rebounder. A good enough shot blocker that has developed into a shot maker. And he stops dominant scorers from scoring.

I added him to the untouchable list earlier this year. Getting a star player would be pointless if Noah isn't on the team with him and Rose.

I was talking to a couple family members after last night's game who were raving about his performance and then talking about "trading him while he's hot to get a superstar to play with Rose." When I suggested he should basically be a untouchable part of the team and they should look to move someone like Butler instead they looked at me like I had just threatened to run over their mom with a bulldozer. People are weird.

His ability to pass the ball to the other big is so valuable. He's probably the best in the league at that. I love the Rose camp wants another superstar. Noah basically is another superstar.

Deng, Boozer, and the Charlotte pick are all in play this offseason. I wouldn't trade Butler. For the money he is a valuable contributor.

But thats exactly why hes valuable. Nobody really is dying for an overpaid Boozer or a nicked up Deng. But paired with Butler and a pick? Suddenly they're much more tempting. Gonna have to give up value if we want Love.

They played really well under him when he took over during the regular season. He had to go to the Easter Conference Finals to keep his job and they didn't have the talent to do that.

You are correct, except that their value lies in their contracts, both of which create a ton of cap room to pursue FA's after the 2014 season.

dude has never won a playoff series and that blows my mind because he's been around forever.

I feel like [expletive] with someone's spinal fluid can cause complications without someone screwing up, just because you're [expletive] with someone's spinal fluid.

Here's a hypothetical question for you. Say LeBron goes down with a season ending injury in the first quarter of tonight's game. Does Rose suit up at halftime or wait until game 2?

I have a hard time seeing the series going more than 5 but the Bulls are good at pulling wins out of their ass so I suppose going 6 or 7 wouldn't completely shock me.

Trick question - LeBron is a robot and can't get hurt.

Boozer is a net negative in any trade

Adrian Woj saying sources with direct knowledge of Rose's situation say he is out for playoffs. Sounds like Rose knew he would be out but wanted to keep everyone guessing, didn't think the pushback in the media would be this bad, and now is going to end the talk of him coming back by just saying it. Just another reason why you can't have friends and family influencing you to this degree. LeBron won a championship to help people get over the decision. Pippen sitting out for that one play had multiple championships and Jordan to deflect his poor judgment. Rose doesn't have that. I think his brand will take a hit. The thing that is most infuriating is that Rose is smoking everyone in practice. We know he can play.

If that's the case, I wonder how long Rose "knew" he'd be out? Did he ever really think he'd be back?

Who knows for sure. But I wonder if he made his mind between the time he was medically cleared to play and the playoffs that he wasn't going to get over the mental hurdle. But his mind is sure OK when it comes time for practice.
