Boston, Dallas, Miami and LA will all be a 5th seed or better this year and I'm willing to bet my life savings that one of those teams wins the title.

You can indeed buy your way to a championship if given the chance to do so.

You guys act like Dwight Howard wanted to come to Chicago and that cheapass Reinsdorf didn't want to pay the luxury tax.

And Boston or Dallas? Both past champions paying aging players for past performance. I highly doubt either team is winning any more rings in the near future. Boston was almost smart enough to tear down and rebuild last year.

Give me a smart and realistic scenario for the Bulls to pay money and get a ring. The only way to build salary once you are over the cap is to escalate salaries for existing players, trade for lower salary guys and reaign them, or sign MLEs.

Wait until 2 years with Rose fully back. If they don't amnesty Boozer and don't go after big FAs or acquisitions after Deng comes off the book. It's simply not smart to blow cash and flexibility with Rose out.

The Bulls have about as much a chance at winning a championship as Boston or Dallas. Because it's none.

And the Bulls and Taj Gibson are not getting an extension done. Hope everyone that goes to Bulls games this season enjoys paying for Jake Peavy's new extension because Jerry Reinsdorf doesn't give two shits about the Bulls

yeah how the hell did boston and dallas make that list lol

I like Taj a bunch and think he's better than Boozer. But honestly, giving him a 4/40 type deal would hinder our chances at getting a superstar in 2014. I do think that we'll pay the luxury tax, but it'll take acquiring a superstar to do it. And we'll be competing with the Lakers in great shape to make bigtime moves.

Because we were discussing repeat offenders of the Luxury Tax system. They both make that list and have won within the last 4-5 years.

Taj is a really nice player to have and Boozer has been pretty disappointing with the Bulls, but no matter how I slice it, I really can't find anything to back up the idea that Taj is a better player than Boozer.

Pretty much this. Except I haven't been disappointed in Boozer all that much other than that goofy off court injury he had in 2010.

Agreed, and signing Taj wouldn't do much to hinder the team. Acquiring a superstar would most likely have to be done via trade (or sign and trade) anyway, so he could be a pretty nice trading chip to someone, to help balance out the salaries and not have to take a crappy player in return.

At a glance, his numbers have dipped ever so slightly with the Bulls, but not enough to merit the level of criticism I've seen. He doesn't seem to go as strong to the basket as he did when he was with the Jazz, but he's got a good enough touch from a few feet out that he's still been a pretty valuable offensive player.

Didn't watch but looks like Noah was awesome. Nice to see considering he was crappy to start last year (though last year's off season was a little bit different than this one)
