Did anybody else notice in the third inning when Buck gave a detailed batter-by-batter rundown of what had happened earlier in the inning and then McCarver repeated everything that Buck had just said?

I'm starting to think the Giants broke into the Cardinals pixie dust supply and snorted it all to get here. That bunt that stayed fair to load the bases, wow. :P

Bochy's gamble paid off. Zito pitched great yesterday and Bumgarner doing the same tonight made Bochy using Lincecum yesterday didn't come back to hurt him. Now he's got his two best starters going in Games 3 and 4 with a 2-0 lead.

Which homer was that? Just curious.

I'm pretty sure the second one.

I believe that was the oppo homer, given that Verlander was looking out to left.

When Shawon Dunston Jr. was 10 years old, he watched his father jumping up and down in the living room after Kerry Wood hit a home run early in Game 7 of the 2003 National League Championship Series against Florida.

“Dad was going crazy,” he said. “I said, ‘Dad, you play for the Giants. Why are you acting so crazy? And he was like, ‘I’ll always be a Cub.’”

So, I think both of them really like the Cubs and both of them really like the Giants. It doesn't bother me at all, but I don't know if I would put myself in that situation if I were Jr. But, then again, he's just in Rookie ball/short season so I'm sure it's not on anybody's radar.

Wait, what position wouldn't you put yourself in? Taking a picture with your dad as the team that employs him celebrates making it to the world series? You wouldn't do that?

Being in rookie ball like he is I would be more inclined to do it. If he were in AAA though... Probably shouldn't do it. I'm not sure how his teammates that played at the MLB level for the Cubs would take it.

Personally I wouldn't have a problem with him doing it if he were on the MLB team unless the Cubs had just lost to them in the postseason.

He wasn't even wearing Giants stuff in that picture. He just got a picture on the field with his dad after his dads employer just had a major moment in the organizations history. I have no problem with it, if he's in instructs or the star of the the [expletive] Cubs MLB team.

He's not playing high school football. His teammates wouldn't give a crap. These guys are paid employees, not soldiers.

I have to disagree. Some teammates would have an issue with it. I'm not saying they should. I'm saying they would.

Not all of them see themselves as just paid employees. Not all of them are intelligent or mature enough to see that it is acceptable and that both organizations are a major part of his family members' lives.

Geez the Giants are going to win the World Series mostly on pitching all while their 28 year old 2 time Cy Young award winning co-ace has been demoted to the bullpen.

I hope when the Cubs finally get back to the series again they go down 0-3. I want it to be epic. An epic comeback culminating with a walk off win in game 7 during extra innings.
