It seems like 1B have as low of a trade value as any position, so it's probably beneficial to keep him, if at all possible.

Maybe the dime a dozen guys, but Gonzalez, Teixeira and Cabrera are three guys who were traded at fairly young ages that brought a ton of interest on the market. It's not there's a dozen guys with a 900 OPS out there these days. Teams will still pay up for guys who actually produce a lot. Whether it's an established veteran or a hot young prospect on the verge a bit bat is a very valuable commodity.

If you're elite, I can go with that. But I would do my best to fit them both in somehow.

Yeah, you're never going to get great value for a minor leaguer, no matter how good or the pedigree. It would make the most sense to keep both as long as possible, find positions for both in the majors and worst case, you have another Grace/Palmeiro situation where you have to trade one.

As long as it doesn't turn into a Sandberg/Palmeiro situation.

Really? How do you figure? Prospects have been valued more and more around the league in recent years when they used to be throw-ins for veteran/veteran swaps. A highly touted hitting prospect on the verge of making the majors will get you tremendous value in a trade.

Wow, I think someone actually hurt KG's feelings.

Thanks all the people tweeting me about Vogelbach. Let me know when you write 200,000 words a year online to be judged.

Can't help but chuckle at that.

Shoot him a tweet WSR.

Does anyone know what Lu does? I mean, besides provide intricate analyses of hitting mechanics that most baseball people can't even effectively BS about.

Lumafia is the karmic balance we receive as a result of little lord fontenot invading the minor league forum with his particular brand of aggressive and prolific ignorance.

He is the hero we need.

The "lu" refers to the university where I played baseball.
