WTF? 2 three base errors in one inning?

Can't say I've ever seen back-to-back 3 base errors.

and another error...

They weren't back-to-back. Johnson K'd in between them.

Whatever. Two of them in one inning, still can't say I've seen that.

Can't watch the game, how about a little help?

Cardenas popped up 10 feet in front of the plate. Pitcher, catcher, 3B converged, and the 3B dropped it, with the ball bouncing off his body into foul territory. Cardenas was running pretty well the whole time and made it to 3rd.

After Reed K'ed, Barney popped up in shallow right. 1B, 2B, and Rf converged, and the ball bounced off the RF out into foul territory. Barney was also running the whole way and made it to third.

Then Castro grounded sharply to the right of the 2nd base bag. Cedeno charged it aggressively to throw home, and the ball bounced off him into center.

Travis Wood looks pretty good, but I'd need to see Chris Volstad's spring training stats before I decide which one I want in the rotation going forward.

lol pretending you didn't jump off your wood wagon during ST

Bravo T Wood. He's been decent-good in pretty much every outting. I seem to remember he was knocked around in one of his earlier ones, but that's about it.

i think the only one he sucked in was the game against the padres with the wind blowing out 20mph+

I jumped off so hard, I twisted my ankle. But my seat is still warm.

What can the Cubs get for Travis Wood?

Why should we trade him?

Why would he be untouchable?

Just because we shouldn't trade him doesn't make him untouchable. It just wouldn't make sense to deal him with what we could get back for him.

It's not like he'd get us Trevor Bauer, Profar, Machado or anyone of that likeness. He'd net us a prospect who's ceiling is probably around his. He's more valuable keeping on the team moving forward being cost controlled and productive for what he is. His value in a trade is probably as an addition to a Soriano/Dempster/Garza/Dejesus/Barney trade to get us a better prospect/additional one/not have to pay as much of those guys salaries. I still prefer keeping him.

You don't trade him because he was intended to be a piece for the next Cubs winning team. Young and cost controlled...exactly what Theo is looking for. Of course if someone offered the Cubs a significant package for him, he'd be gone in a second, but almost certainly that won't happen.
