  1. By my calculations, if we leave Javy in Iowa until at least 6/11 then we get another year of control. He's not necessarily the Bryant type that would likely never be demoted again, but it's still a minor consideration.
  2. Does wind turn? Yeah. It means it's changing directions. What used to be a headwind is turning and becoming a tailwind. http://www.nytimes.com/1997/07/23/world/whalers-say-the-wind-is-turning-in-their-favor.html http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2013/09/26/the-wind-is-turning-for-oracles-ceo.aspx http://www.business-standard.com/article/markets/news-analysis-the-wind-is-turning-in-favour-of-suzlon-113012800133_1.html

  4. PLEASE POST MORE. I'm carefully cultivating my four-posts-per-year average.
  5. The Des Moines Register print deadline was just a little too early... https://twitter.com/MurphyKeith/status/497051380889444352/photo/1
  6. Sucks. Only get to see 2 top 15 prospects instead of 3. Your life sucks. And we don't even know yet who might be filling that empty slot at Iowa...
  7. Can't watch the game, how about a little help? Cardenas popped up 10 feet in front of the plate. Pitcher, catcher, 3B converged, and the 3B dropped it, with the ball bouncing off his body into foul territory. Cardenas was running pretty well the whole time and made it to 3rd. After Reed K'ed, Barney popped up in shallow right. 1B, 2B, and Rf converged, and the ball bounced off the RF out into foul territory. Barney was also running the whole way and made it to third. Then Castro grounded sharply to the right of the 2nd base bag. Cedeno charged it aggressively to throw home, and the ball bounced off him into center.
  8. Cardenas supposedly has two option years remaining (including this year): http://riveraveblues.com/2012/01/scouting-the-waiver-market-adrian-cardenas-63058/
  9. He was pulled in the 4th inning of the Iowa game. Per multiple sources on twitter, he's expected to be in the Chicago lineup tomorrow (Tuesday). Any guesses on a corresponding roster move?
