I read that he was shaking Montero off repeatedly in the last game. They were going to 'discuss' that which I assume means he's going to throw what he's told now. The pathetic Dodgers offense had to have been a welcome sight too.

What was Scully's problem with him?

 

21-year old rookie who is adamantly sticking to his new ideas of pitching (primarily pitching high in the zone) and who shook his catcher off quite a bit, including on his first ever big league pitch. Amusingly, as Vin was criticizing Bauer for not listening to the 7-year veteran Montero, Bauer shook off Montero and then struck out the Dodger who was up to bat.

I love Scully. Generally I don't think announcers do well at all as the lone voice in the booth, but I think Scully does a good job of it.
