Wow, after Almora nothing but pitchers.

Um, how is stub hub below market value? Below face value, yes. But that online market is, by definition, market value.

Herp derp, never mind then.

How would fans collude to drive ticket prices below market value? Specifically, how would we assign the tickets if price isn't the mechanism?

The whole group would have to agree not to pay above X where X is less than some would pay on the open market. Works better when you have a population of 32 and no antitrust concerns.

Sounds like fraud to me.

40% rule: I've got it in my head that you can't sign a draftee for less than 40% of slot value. But I don't know where I got that idea from, whether from nsbb or psd or somewhere else.

Q1: Is that 40% limit true?

Q2: If so, is that common knowledge here? Did I find about that here or somewhere else?

Q3: Any link or place to confirm?

Thanks in advance.

TJS? If so, this could just be the first year struggles cropping up. Supposedly throws 95 at least.

I read on BTF that you can sign a player for less than 40% only if he agrees to it, otherwise you have to offer at least that. Screwy language that seems unenforceable.

It was me. Don't remember where I read it off of honestly. Think it's in the new CBA. That said, I asked JJ Cooper last night on Twitter after reading his article about senior signs, and he said as long as they agree to less, then you're in the clear.
