First time I ever heard of "meme" thought it was pronounced "Mee Mee" or "May May". I may have eventually come around to the right pronunciation on this, but I'm still sticking with a hard G for gif, and [expletive] anyone that says different.

Still don't get why people don't just say the letters in GIF like every other 3 letter acronym (USA, GOP, NBA, LED, POW, etc).

Glad I'm not the only one who thought it was me-me. I remember my wife laughing when I first used the word around her and correcting me.

I don't recall the setting, but I've heard somebody mention the faqs at the back of some book and thought they were talking about facts for a second. Very rare to hear though.

I might say FAQ as a word when I'm reading it, but if I was talking to anyone in person I'd say either F-A-Q or even Frequently Asked Questions because duh.

As someone who has built countless websites over the last 20 years with many FAQ sections, I've pronounced it all three ways, just depends on your audience. I personally say FAK simply for convenience.

I have literally never heard this in my life, and I'm no stranger to FAQs

Are you 100% sure you aren't in some type of Truman Show-esque alternate reality
