Odor called up

It's sad that I have to hope he does poorly otherwise various people are going to go on and on about how he would have been a Cub if Theo didn't wait too long and let Garza get hurt.

Was he legitimately on the table? Seems hard to believe given he was only 18 at the time.

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that he was on the table last year as the final piece until the Rangers saw issues with Garza's shoulder and it instead became Olt. I believe ABTY also said Odor and Perez were both parts of the 2012 package that was just about done before Garza got hurt.

If those reports are accurate, that really sucks.

i wonder what the split is between coors and the road. I could probably look it up it up but I'm slightly drunk and contently listening to Neko Case.

Home: .355/.401/.600 .373 BABIP

Away: .254/.403/.705 .296 BABIP

[expletive] hell.

Yeah, that's wrong.

Eta: Unless he was listing the time period he was talking about and not the whole season.

For the year it's:

Home: .355/.401/.600

Away: .264/.309/.417

That's not close to right

Olt was always in it, when they didn't like the medicals Odor turned into Grimm.

Sandberg is putting Dusty Baker to shame today. He runs Cole Hamels out for 133 pitches on his 4th start coming off of shoulder issues. He then wont use Papelbon 3 days in a row, instead opting to use Robert Hernandez for the save. Hernandez had just thrown 99 pitches on Friday.

Tulo has played in 37 out of 40 games so far this year and accumulated 3.6fWAR. That total puts him ahead of the team total of 13 other teams. His current 3.6fWAR is equal to the total fWAR of the Astros,Padres,Cubs and Diamondbacks combined.

Jose Fernandez is getting an MRI today. Apparently his velocity was down last time out.

Yes.

Yeah, I want to draft dozens of them, just not in the first round.

Yeah, I still do too. While drafting quantity will eventually work, it takes a long time to produce a TOR type that way, unless you get really lucky.

It takes a long time to produce one either way.
