Tiny sample size, but holy [expletive], Cardenas looks terrible trying to do anything.

Yeah, he's terrible defensively. He throws like a kid.

Soto down to .152 and showing no signs of getting better.

You're kidding, right? Please tell me you're playing a character or something.

The role he's playing is called "realist" and it's typically played by someone who isn't still infatuated with a former ROY.

I'll make a bold prediction and say it now; Geovany Soto will NOT be on the next Cubs World Series winner. But, for all that's holy, you let him work through things, so when the time comes to deal him, he's getting you a decent return. He's been a very solid player for us for a while. He'll work through things.

Agreed on all points.

The role is more "ignorant", as Soto has shown plenty of signs of getting better. It has nothing to do with infatuation and more to do with peripherals.

But you think he's not working through things.

so has anyone started the "What can we get for Maholm?" thread?

He's signed to a team friendly contract. He's no #1 ace that teams tend to look for at the deadline

he's more a #7 starter on a contending team

Are you kidding? The way he's pitched since the 1st 2 outtigs he's a 4 for most and a 3 for some.

I know. I was intentionally pushing buttons and continuing an argument from another thread.

Oh FFS.

This is just proof positive that you post 1000x a day and don't read anything.
