Not making excuses for him, but with this much of a difference between EXST and Peoria, it makes me wonder if he's healthy.

AZPhil with loads of news, none of which can be considered good. Baez was hit in the wrist today in the 1st inning and left the game. Acosta, Malave, and Arcila went back to the Dominican.

Szczur 3-5 with 2 2B, so thats certainly a good thing.

And has anyone else noticed that Matt Cerdas been pretty bad ass? Only 21 at AA.Going into tonight he was at .313/.371/.594 in 10 games. He was 0-1 with 3 BB. I know, it seems as though we need to look for things to get excited about these days.

Cerda is good stuff. Always been young, decent athlete, and one of the guys in the system who drew/draws walks. I'm really curious as to what his ceiling is...Almost want to call him a Todd Walker type 2B, but I think he's seeing time at 3B as well lately. Long term he might be more of a utility option that Cardenas because he might have more power... One of the favorites to replace LeMahieu as my favorite sleeper 2B prospect/utility guy.

Brett Jackson with the Golden Sombrero tonight. Ouch. Led off the game with a double off the wall the opposite way, then struck out his last 4 times. 3 of them swinging. Rizzo also struck out both times he got out. And Vitters, who pinch hit, struck out in his only AB.

Dreadful night for the Chiefs. down 18-2 in the 7th, and Andrew McKirahen, who's been pretty stellar for them left with an injury after facing 1 batter.

Now Cuneo, the first baseman, is pitching!

Don't think the last sentence is bad news - Acosta and Malave belong in the DSL.

Arizona Phil did say Junior Lake is done with his rehab.

Concepcion: Still bad.

Going into the offseason, he was supposed to have subpar velocity, but be 19 and advanced.

One out of three in this case is quite bad.

I've got 0 out of 3 - what am I missing?

He actually does have subpar velocity. That was the one thing out of the three that was true.

Oh, I totally misread that. Don't mind me.
