Len mentions how Soto is seeing the ball better just after he swings at a pitch about 2 feet out of the zone.

Soto's 15 minutes of fame is drawing to an end I fear.

15 minutes of fame? He's got 2000 major league PA with an OPS+ of 107.

15 quarters of fame?

Sorry, here's what I meant.

Soto looks very bad right now. I think his best years are behind him.

I'll try to be more literal about my opinion next time.

You don't have to be literal. But 15 minutes of fame suggests he's had a Bryan LaHair type career to this point. He's been around for a while and done quite well for himself.

He's been worse than this over the course of weeks before and come back to post really solid numbers.

It's amazing how many people are throwing dirt on him after 20 or so games.

I'm also considering his most recent season, the fact that he's a below average receiver and there are two catchers that look big-league ready sitting on the bench right now.

Well if he's got 2 catchers sitting on him on the bench that could explain his poor results to date. Maybe the manager should run a more disciplined ship.

got my edit in before you replied - the humor is appreciated none-the-less

Reed Johnson is my least favorite cub. I don't guess it's anything personal, he just doesn't serve a purpose.

His purpose is to be expendable when Brett Jackson is ready.

I wouldn't put it that way, but my guess is that they intended to trade Byrd all along and Johnson was to be a stop gap until Jackson was ready.
