Smart timeout call by Crean a couple minutes back when Indiana was about to get the 10 second call. I really don't like that rule though that it resets on a timeout.

30-10 FT disparity lol, IU still may not cover

It's because Minnesota has been pressing and gambling the whole second half. It's led to many good things for Minnesota, but also led to lots of fouls. Indiana shot 4 free throws in the first half.

Zeller's first foul was with 20 seconds left in the game.

Did you watch much of the game? Mbakwe was relatively quiet and Minnesota scored a lot from the perimeter. It's not like Zeller was killing people and the refs just weren't calling it. There wasn't much action under the rim.

I know you have to find a reason to discount IU, so go ahead. Looking at how IU played in the 2nd half should be good enough for you to pick apart. They came out basically trying to protect the lead, and it showed.

Is Illinois going to score today?

I saw him throw Mbakwe to the ground. Mbakwe got called for traveling.

Yep. Total turning point in the game.

Like I said, IU won this game in the first half and basically came out in the 2nd half and stopped attacking. Played stupid in the 2nd half but were able to just quite hang on.

Zeller fouled Mbakwe way before he fell down. I don't think he pushed him down. But he did bump him earky and Mbakwe was unable to keep his balance. Still a foul, but it shouldve been called before Mbakwe hit the ground.

I don't recall saying IU won due to the FT disparity. My comments were really pointed at IU covering the spread due to home cooking. But they didn't end up covering because, like you said, they were hanging on instead of attacking

I guess you never know what you get with Illinois. Can look so good, and so bad, depending on the game.

Wisconsin is also still the most annoying team in the conference.
