I've actually seen Indiana win a national championship in my lifetime along with two other final four appearances and you are trying to troll me on the IU-PU overall series? I guess I could pretend to care for your sake. :hello:

Wow, how OLD are you?

I must be really OLD...I have seen 3 Indiana Championships

They have the interwebs in old folks homes? :D

Right but he's never bad enough really to have a chance for this in round one. I don't know, I just don't remember too many times thinking Bo lost out before he reached a team that was a lot better than him. Maybe it's just be though.

2011 tournament-4 seed, lost to 8 seed Butler

2010-4 seed, lost to 12 seed Cornell

2009-12 seed, lost to 4 seed Xavier

2008-3 seed, lost to 10 seed Davidson

2007-2 seed, lost to 7 seed UNLV

2006-9 seed, lost to 8 seed Arizona

2005-6 seed, lost to 1 seed North Carolina

2004-6 seed, lost to 3 seed Pittsburgh

2003-5 seed, lost to 1 seed Kentucky

2002-8 seed, lost to 1 seed Maryland

In Bo's 10 years including this one, he has 3 total wins over top 8 seeds. All of those were over 5 seeds. And as TT said, only 1 win over a higher seed. They have 4 losses against teams seeded worse than them, and all of those teams were substantially worse than they were. It's not an awful tournament resume, but it's not good. The main reason for their success over that time period is because they've had 4 different seasons where they got to play multiple double digit seeds, and two of those seasons they got to play 3 different double digit seeds.

Well apparently it boggles the mind of Da Bum Jr. I clearly remember every game of IU's 1987 title run along with everything after that...the Cheaney years...RMK's plateau and downfall...the 2002 semi-finalist team...so forth and so on. I'm just trying to figure out why any PUke fan would think I care about the overall series. :P

Sorry, 7 year old me wasn't celebrating the waining days of IU basketball glory, lol. Wasn't Notre Dame football good then too? Those had to be your glory days.

Wow, is the B1G going to go 0-3 against the Big East? Where the [expletive] is Andy?

I said last year that the tournament is a dumb sample size to evaluate conferences while the Big East (clearly the best 2011 league) was going belly up, and even if the B1G went oh-fer in the S16, it wouldn't change the fact that it was the best 2012 league.

Although I admit I'm still rooting for it.

Well I'm not rooting for O$U or IU so I'm with ya!

My bracket is coming apart quicker than Ohio State is.

Had all E8 teams still alive coming into today but I lost Wisconsin and MSU (a FF team) and the other two are playing terribly right now.

The only remaining chance I have to win any money is if KU wins it all because I'm the only person in my schoolmates' pool with that result. 2 F4 teams already down with FSU and Mich St.

And if you root for that you're a child molestor.

Just curious, what's you're nightmare title game based on the teams remaining? Indiana-Kansas? Are any others close?

Just KU to be honest. IU really doesn't bother me that much, I live too far away from their fans.

Are all Purdue fans as cocky about their team based on wins from literally 70 years ago, or is it just the ones on this board? Indiana is 73-59 against Purdue since 1940

It's like arguing the Cubs have the upper hand in the Cubs Cardinals rivalry because they lead the all time series due to a bunch of wins they had when they were actually good between 1900-1945.

If Marquette could just make a shot or two, they'd be at least tied right now. I think the announcers said Marquette started 6-10 from the field which means they're 10-45 since.

Except the Cardinals are still winning championships. What should Purdue fans do? Grovel? Yay, IU won two this year. That makes them 2-7 in their last 9. Oh yay, they won a championship in 1987 and a bunch more before I was self aware. They should be anointed!

How do you like MSU basketball fans and OSU football fans?

Go Pack! I guess I'm the resident NC State fan here. But to be honest, that is the same way here in NC. Seems to be about 80% UNC fans, 19% Duke fans, with an occasional state or wake fan scattered amongst us. It's funny to me because nearly all UNC fans would be ridiculed if they stepped foot on UNC's campus...

The wolfpack are talented, but they believe they are better than they are. And they are playing with that mentality thanks to Gottfried. Win or lose, I've never been more excited or proud to be an NC state fan. With 3 McDonalds All-Americans coming in next year the future seems bright.

CJ Leslie is as athletic and talented as anyone in the ACC if he plays within his means. Brown isn't a true PG but he manages the game well and he adds a great composure and leadership element. Scott Wood is as good of a shooter as there is in the country if he is on. They aren't deep and foul trouble ([expletive] off ACC refs) can completely dismantle them, but I hope and think it will be a good game.

Maybe you should stick up for Duke, UNC, Kansas, and Kentucky too? They need your help!

Oh, I forgot the Death Star and cancer.
