Yep missed on Miami.

Overall, though, this may have been the best year yet. We missed one team, and were off by more than two seeds just twice, with Creighton and New Mexico.

Our 2010 bracket was borderline masterful, but this one was really good. Well done again, team.

I'm also now convinced SSR is just trying to actively sabotage Memphis by putting them last in every list.

Conference USA sucks

Better than the Pac-12. Of course, they have a first four team and a ... wait, Colorado got an 11 seed?!

Good work. I must say though I wasnt high on Miami at all and wouldnt have put them in my bracket :)

Although I know I wouldnt have put Iona in instead.

TT and I were the only two that never put Iona in the bottom of the consideration list.

Never had them in, but...

Definitely not liking Missouri's path. Not even confident they'll get past Florida.

i'm not sure why you guys are so freaked out about Florida. They're decent. You're much better. They play awful defense, too.

They're Mizzou lite. I'd rather play a team that was better defensively but doesn't have a chance of keeping pace offensively. Their talent level is greater than the average 7 seed too. Ultimately it's splitting hairs, because outside Kentucky there isn't a team in the tournament I would look at and think "OH NO", but when Gonzaga and St. Mary's were the other 2 possible 7's, I'd have much preferred them in the round of 32.

Fair enough. I actually think Mizzou will go pretty far in the tourney this year. Too many weapons. An off night from one guy will rarely kill you.

Back to the thread topic, great job as usual you guys. I always like to read this thread.

This year's Paymon score is 313. For reference, last year's Paymon score was 317, and the Bracket Matrix averaged 318.

EDIT: Miscalculated. This year's Paymon score is 321. Nicely done everyone.

I'm showing the matrix average at 311.

Florida-Missouri is probably my most anticipated game, at first glance.

Ah, you're right. Looks like the composite score from the matrix scored much better than averaging out all the individual scores.

Not sure of a good place for this, but this is my thread, so I'll just shill myself here...

I'm in a blogging contest over at TeamRankings.com and qualified for the second round. I'm not sure if I'll get to the third (4 advance) since most of the rest of the group has, you know, blogs, but hey, I got one article published, and I'll get another as soon as I finish it. My next article is going to be analyzing the success of the "pod system" after 10 years of it.
