Let me rephrase... if I resurrect it, will you guys put on the full court press to recruit to the site?

"dabears.com?" Ugh. Sounds like the football version of bleedcubbieblue.com. [expletive]' dorks.

Bad name. Decent community.

As a Cubs, Bulls, and Bear fan, in that order, I get enough football and basketball talj here honestly. The only other team I post on another board for is UNC. And considering most of you guys are in Illinois, or Big 10 country, I totally get why I need to go elsewhere for that one.......For pro sports though, this place gives me more than enough.

How about a bears (and bulls & hawks perhaps) subforum and then gradually rebranding nsbb if you're not happy with a site called north side baseball having other sports and teams covered?

Another option. The only downside I see here is that bears/sox fans might not want to come here to talk Bears if they get inundated with Cubs stuff.

My opinion, this isn't a high traffic board, so more sub-boards isn't necessary. Would rather consolidate discussions, so its easier to switch between discussions.

"View Active Topics" is your friend. Or it should be.

Actually when I'm on my phone I use the Tapatalk function that showsjust new topics. Is this a function on a normal browser too? I end up reading mostly from my phone.

Yes, there's a link called "View Active Topics" that works much like that, but actually does a better job filtering threads with recent activity than Tapatalk.

I feel like more threads in less subboards engenders more discussion. Catch all threads are good in theory but I think they tend to stagnate things.

You don't even need catch all threads. For instance in Social you could easily have 5 threads for the top 5 discussed tv shows and still not clutter the board.

I'm a huge Bears fan and I would support the move to a new board. I think that the discussion would be much more in depth then just a single thread on NSBB.

NSBB is primarily all about the Cubs anyways.
