SBnation ranks the Bears as the 27th best WR group...

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2012/7/23/3175624/nfl-receiver-rankings

What a terrible list. I guess I can buy Detroit #1, if you go by the theory that Calvin Johnson is so much better than every WR on earth that he alone makes them the top WR corps. But if that's the case, Arizona should be much higher. But Cincy at #7 with AJ Green and 3 rookies? Jackson and Maclin in Philly ranked higher than more productive duos such as Nicks/Cruz, Wallace/Brown, Jones/White, Austin/Bryant? I even think 31 and 32 are mixed up.

sbnation is basically the BleacherReport, meaning any dolt can write for them. I have no idea why articles like this upset you guys so much.

Couple things from the Emery PC:

Knox is doing light running, and will open on the PUP if he's not ready.

The Matt Forte contract was "win, win"

It was posted with the assumption that it would spark conversation (as this is a message board)....so I commented. Not sure why that means I'm upset, but whatever.

That is one ugly son of a bitch.

Is he like 6'9"? That's the only excuse for his looks, a bad case of elephantitis or something.

he's ugly because he has bright orange hair and skin that blisters under artificial light, raw.

Sounds like most everyone is already in camp. Forte, Urlacher, Cutler...etc. Carimi and Urlacher are both supposed to be full speed, ready to go. Carimi sounds a bit more hesitant than Urlacher when he talks about it though. The only real injury we're still dealing with is Knox, who will likely start the season on the PUP.

Receiver Brandon Marshall on Jay Cutler telling him where to park his car at the training camp dorm: "He tells me what to do on a lot of things. He thinks he's my father.''

Former Bears running back Adrian Peterson is assisting with coaching the running backs this week

Former Bears quarterback Jim Miller will be the television analyst for three of the team's four exhibitions.

If any of you Bears fans want to get tickets to see the Bears play the Cowboys in Arlington this year, the club holder presale started this morning and I have the password.

I just can't bring myself to put more money in the pocket of Jerry Jones, but I have some friends (Bears fans) looking to go. Can I get the password, please?

Apparently the Bears are using a conditioning test at the beginning of training camp for the first time since Lovie has been here. I seem to remember them all making a big deal about conditioning when Lovie first came in and that they insisted on guys passing tests, including the coaching staff. But was that just a weigh-in and not an actual conditioning test?

I just read that too. I wonder what prompted this. Was there a lot of reporting out of shape in previous years?

Biggs noted there was a longer layoff between the offseason program and start of training camp this year, so it may just be a way to see who kept in shape during that time.

That doesn't make sense. Last year there was no offseason program and TC started late cuz of the labor stuff. Unless he's just meaning compared to other normal offseasons?
