Do we want Carlson, Boss, resign Davis, or spend a top 3 round pick on TE?

I'd rather have Coby Fleener than one of those 3 vets.

If we DO address either O Line or DE in FA, I think I'd like to trade down from 19. I guess we need a team to get QB desperate, trying to move up for Cousins, Osweiler, or Weeden. Or by some slim chance Tannehill is still on the board, that'd be where we got the most return, I guess. Fleener would be cool as a late 1st, early 2nd round type.

Greg Olsen and a 3rd round pick in 2013 for Brandon Marshall.

I'm pissed if I'm a Miami fan.

Especially if they don't get Manning.

I'm a Dolphins fan, and I don't even want Manning. I wanted Flynn. It's clear they're going to do whatever they can do to get Manning, though. I'm just praying they don't ruin the team in the process.

I guess the Fins will go get Wayne now. If they get Manning, it can be sold, I guess. But, if they miss on him, replacing Marshall with Wayne is dumber than dumb. I wouldn't have done it, even if that IS what Peyton wants.

I agree completely. You lose 6 years, 4 inches, 30 pounds, and likely save no money, all in the pursuit of a 36 year old quarterback coming off an injury that erased his last season. And all you get out of it is two 3rd rounders.

#Bears interested in DE Jeremy Mincey, according to league source. Mincey played is a UFA from Jaguars

19:37 Jeremy Mincey is reportedly a target for the Chicago Bears according to various reports. The man drafted by the Patriots in 2006 was our 12th ranked defensive end in 2011, and was that rare breed of DE who played the run and pass equally well. He would prove an upgrade on Israel Idonije who struggled to consistently generate pressure when playing an every down role. He may not be Mario Williams, but Mincey would give the Bears a dominant set of defensive ends.

Bears trying to sign a DE, but it's not Mario Williams. It's former Jaguar Jeremy Mincey.

Also interested in Jeremy Mincey, per league source: the Cowboys.

Unsurprising but also nice to hear. Count me in on that one.

Give me Mincey and one of the top-two OL and lets go to the draft

I'm not sure we can afford that honestly. I'd love it though.

Apparently the Browns are also interested in Mincey, but they are also the Gerry Gergich of the NFL.

Mincey is a good player. Not great, but similar to Idonije in that you can throw him out there 90% of the defensive snaps and he'll put up respectable-to-good numbers. Honestly, with the Marshall development, I'd rather go after Wimbley if he gets cut or go all in draft day for Nick Perry/Whitney Mercilus and bring back Idonije for cheap. I'd jump all over Marcus McNeill if I'm the Bears right now.

Yeah, I'd hate to see them skip out on bringing back Okoye. Is there any hope for Wootton if he's healthy?

QB Jason Campbell reached agreement with the Bears on a one-year deal.

NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora Reports: Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte will agree to a contract extension within the next 24 hours.

It's been a good day for the bears, but I'm not excited about this. Hopefully the guaranteed money isn't too high.

i don't think they are very high on wootton anymore. lovie never mentions him when discussing the line.

Not that it's really at all important but I wonder if a team has ever had the kind of arm strength with their starter and backup as the Bears have with Cutler and Campbell.
