no talk on the bosh injury? mri tomorrow, and the buzz is that he'll probably miss this series and maybe more.

that's a devstasting injury if true. i think it makes the boston/miami series a tossup, and there is no way the heat are beating san antonio or okc without him. they are just too thin, especially with bigs.

I'd say it's far from a given they beat Indiana without him.

I would think that would require a big series from Hibbert. I don't know if he can do that or not.

No, he honestly can't. He's not a guy who will put a team on his back for multiple nights in a row. But I don't think he needs to. He just needs to draw enough attention (and West as well, who could possibly put the team on his back himself) to give the perimeter scorers some room. The Pacers were close on Sunday and got 23 points combined from Granger, George, and Hill on 25 shots. Those are the players who need to play decently to give the team a shot.

2 of those guys are going to be guarded by Wade and LeBron though and they aren't good enough to overcome that. That's why, even with Bosh out, I'm not thinking it will be much of a series.

Part of me wants to see a Heat vs Lakers final as it would be cool if Kobe and LeBron squared off at least once in their career though I couldn't really stand it if either team won the title.

This is going to be a short series.

I really think both the Spurs and Thunder are better than the Heat.

The Thunder-Heat finals matchup would make for the worst final 3-5 minutes of every close game in Finals history. Both teams just do weird things and run awful plays down the stretch of close games.

It'd set the record for the most step-back double teamed jumpers in a series.

If Fisher wins his 6th title, where does he stand in relation to the all-time greats?

All time great what? Like all time greats, just ever? That's a bit much, he'd probably be remembered like Kerr and Horry are. Great role players on championship teams, who were good guys/teammates, and hit some big shots in playoff series. They both got lucky and happened to play with some of the greatest players in NBA history and won more titles than they probably should have on their own individual talents.

Vinny's butthurt....

After guiding the Clippers to a series win over Memphis, Vinny Del Negro talked about having to overcome damage to his reputation that he believes was the result of a lack of support from Bulls president John Paxson during his two seasons in Chicago.

"All that (expletive) that I had to deal with John and everything, it was a total cluster(expletive)," said Del Negro, who coached the Bulls from 2008-10. "Listen, I understand the business: I hadn't coached before, and my first job was in Chicago, where I had absolutely no (management) support. Then I came to this position, where history spoke for itself. But I knew it was important to keep working at the craft."

I hate Bosh too but how great would it be if the Heat went out due to a Bosh injury? The guy the media always overlooked when talking about LBJ and Wade?

BOOM BABY! Hopefully there will be fewer creep faux-Heat fans at Banker's Life Fieldhouse for the playoffs. The two regular season Pacers-Heat games featured an ungodly number of those d-bags.

i think the heat are a little rattled but the physicality from indiana, and the fact that they're not scared of them. i think other than dallas, no team that's face the heat in the playoffs the last 2 seasons has matched their level of physicality. [expletive], even dallas didn't... they were just better. the heat play dirty, and i think vogel has the pacers ready to do the same thing if that's what it takes.

I see several people comparing the Jason Smith hit on Blake Griffin earlier in the year and the Wade hit on Collison last night. Anybody have any thoughts on how they compare? Was the Wade hit better or worse? And should the NBA even consider a suspension like they gave Smith?

As for the series, the team who wakes up and starts hitting their open 3's first will win. George especially is doing a fantastic job on Wade/LeBron, and the Heat are doing a great job fronting Hibbert/West. It will be a defensive struggle for most of the games, but I bet only one more game at the most will be in the 70's...they'll do a little better offensively most nights. But I do think losing Bosh has helped the Miami defense and really hurt their offense.

Well, they were both football style hits, but what the hell was smith thinking? Wade was at least trying to be dirty, smith was just a moron.

And I like how even when Blake is crushed, he still flops.

He's wade and collison didn't roll around pretending to be dying. I don't know about a suspension, but definitely should have ejected him.

Yeah, sorry that was a little tongue in cheek. I really liked how Wade was incredulous and was trying to get clarification from the official. You [expletive] threw a cheap shot on a defenseless player you clown.
