You don't wear five rings if you're overrated.

 

Yeah, Shaq and his triple teams and Horry have nothing to do with it. Maybe too if you actually researched how Kobe is quite the opposite of "clutch" when it comes to playoff game winners then you too would agree that he is vastly overrated. He's got little to no hardware worthy of being a legendary player aside from the fact that he's got 5 rings that are a clear TEAM accomplishment.

 

OK, so tell me, was Kobe incidental or integral to the Lakers winning five championships? I'm pretty sure the best 2-guard on the planet at that time deserves an ample amount of the credit.

 

Nope, he was just hanging on to Shaq and Horry's coattails and contributed virtually nothing to those titles. Him and Mark Madsen.

And Kobe has won All Defensive First Team the last few seasons, beating out guys like Afflalo, Igoudala, Sefolosha and Raja Bell in those years. The award is a clearly a joke.

Just saying he has two scoring titles isn't really fair to him. He's also got four seconds, a third and three fourths. He's been in the top six in ppg each of the last 12 seasons (top-5 for all but 01-02).

 

Only seven other players (MJ, Wilt, LeBron, Baylor, West, Robertson, Wade) have career averages of 25 ppg, 5 rpg, 4 apg.

We're going to get smashed. I'll be surprised if it gets back to LA for Game 6. I think OKC is a terrible matchup for the Lakers. They wouldn't have necessarily beat the Spurs, but I would rather have had that second round matchup than OKC.

 

The only chance the Lakers have is if they manage to steal Game 1 in OKC because the Thunder are rusty from the layoff.
