ITT: Fans of a team that lost (badly) to the Warriors try to troll.

Lost badly? They lost by 8 points. Celtics, on the other hand lost by 19...

Seriously though, I'm a quasi-Celtic fan this year because JJ and E'Twaun.

I think E'Twaun is hitting the inactive list once Pierce and Pietrus are ready to go. Not sure on JJ, Steimsma got major tick last night, so that doesn't bode well for him on the depth chart. Depending on how big they want to go, they could spare Johnson and deactivate Moore and Bradley. I wouldn't be happy about it, but it's understandable when you're running out Jermaine O' Neal and KG(WHO NEEDS TO BE RESTED DOC) as your starting frontcourt.

Of course with an older team, I imagine those inactive spots are going to be anything but static.

Johnson I figured was not going to get a lot of minutes when Bass was brought in. Still, I think he'll get his chance to show what he's made of at some point this year. The guy is ridiculously quick for his size.

I didn't think they would rely so much on O'Neal, but I guess you ride him as far as you can.

Moore I'm still skeptical will be able to catch on. I'm encouraged by what I heard from camp though and the way Rivers has talked about him. If nothing else, the guy can play D and hit an open jumper.

I like Johnson quite a bit, and would like to see him get some time, I'm just skeptical that Doc won't give the lion's share to O' Neal and Wilcox leaving JJ and Stiemsmsmsmmsmsmsmsma to fight over the scraps. I honestly feel the plan should be to accept the 6 or 7 seed, not pushing the vets during the abbreviated season, and maybe if you're lucky you find a contributor for the future out of Stiemsma, Johnson, Moore, or Bradley.

You let Rondo run the show and see if he can get over the speedbump of last season. If not next year, it's going to be soon that the Big 3 are no more, and you have to prepare yourself for the next step. And it's not as if it's tanking the season; a well rested and healthy Celtics team is still one of the best teams in the NBA. Would be favored to take down the Heat in a 7 game series? Certainly not, but it's not like we're going to chase them down to get homecourt advantage anyway, so what's the point?

We have the Clippers first rounder, but it's top 10 protected until 2016, and if they can lock up Paul, that may not even matter. Beyond that, we've got Rondo, some potential from Bass(maybe?) and a whole lot of old, and unless we go for a complete dismantling, there's no elite player to grab in the draft. The goal for the regular season should be to get in the playoffs and establish Rondo as a star that others will want to come join up with.

Unfortunately, I'm quite certain Rivers and Ainge don't share my opinion, and are going to fight to at least be top 4, likely at the expense of their playoff performance.

I'd be wary of falling near the 7th or 8th seed.

I realize that three games is hardly conclusive, but how long does Boston have to struggle this season before management decides to just blow it all up and go for the lottery? It already has to be getting to the point where they feel like a ton of things have to break right for them to have a shot at the conference finals, let alone winning the championship.

They should probably wait until they play 1 game with their best player.

Probably (and I'm not suggesting that Boston is bad), but I doubt Boston's going to be so much better than Indiana that it's laughable that West would choose to sign there instead. That doesn't even go into that Boston was trying to force NO into taking O'Neal for West in order to make the deal work. Even if Boston was supposed to be a lot better than Indiana, it's pretty classless to talk about another player (who wasn't even on your team to begin with) like that. The fact that Boston is probably not going to be much better if better at all than Indiana makes it classless and hilarious.

"Rivers said rookie E’Twaun Moore is expected to take Avery Bradley’s bench minutes beginning tomorrow against Detroit. Bradley has not scored in 19 minutes this season"

That's fine, pick one or the other, there's no sense in running each of them out there for 2 minutes/game. It's pretty frustrating though that Bradley was never given a chance from Rivers as I think he has more high-end potential than Moore, but I have no idea what's going on behind closed doors, it's quite possible Bradley wasn't putting in the time to earn the minutes.

Who is that this week? I've heard Boston fans argue a different guy all the time.

True. Then again the Hornets didn't have much trouble beating Boston (minus Pierce) without their best player (Gordon).

It's always whichever one is currently injured.
