A three at the buzzer would be absolutely amazing.

Of all the ticky-tack [expletive] called in this game JVG isn't sure that was a foul?

Seriously. How was that not a foul?

Clutch last 2 possessions by LBJ. Caused a difficult shot by Durant and finished it with 2 clutch free throws.

Miami did exactly what they were suppose to do, took back home court advantage.

[expletive] just got real in crackerville. Take your dumb, team-provided marketing t-shirts and go back to your McMansions. This series just got cray.

LeBron's minute load this year has been insane. He is fighting a much bigger uphill battle than the haters give him credit for.

In The Year When Everything Went Wrong, Lebron winning it all is starting to make more & more sense.

The stars aren't aligning correctly, man.

Of course you're a LeBron fanboy.

Two really frustrating plays were that Battier banked three and the goaltend that should have been a block. That block was especially frustrating because the thunder had cut the lead to 8 and would have had a ton of momentum off of that play. Soon the lead was back in the teens.

I still think the Thunder are much better than the Heat

Well, then they need to start playing like it. Because tonight they decided to suck early and couldn't come back like they did in game 1.

Deciding not to suck would be a good first step.

Perkins should not be getting nearly so much playing time. The Thunder are much better playing small with either Ibaka or Collison at the 5, especially in this series. It would be nice if Brooks would change the rotation. He won't, but he should.

I'm just amused that there are a lot of people out there who think Rome is/was a wife beater because they aren't familiar with the phrase.

Agreed, but I don't really understand how stern's question was the appropriate response. As the article mentions, this wasn't really a loaded question. Answering the wife-beater question with a yes or a no implies you have beaten your wife. The thing about Rome's question was that he was giving Stern the opportunity to say no, and give reasons why it is a ridiculous thought. One thing that annoys me about Rome is that his interviews almost have a narrative that he controls--basically answering his own question while he asks the question... but he also generally is very favorable to his guests (Jim Everett notwithstanding). It is a stupid question in the fact that Stern obviously isn't going to admit to anything, but he was giving him an opportunity to shoot it down and explain why thinking so is stupid.

i don't think stern wants/needs an opportunity to shoot it down. even shooting it down legitimizes it to some extent. i doubt stern wants any headlines reading "stern denies draft was rigged."

Bitching about a few plays or missed calls when the team you're rooting for started the game as interested as the emo kids in gym class is silly.

Why? They lost by four and it was a two-point game when the refs missed a fairly obvious foul call which could have sent an 85% FT shooter to the line. At the very least, he probably makes one and then they've still got a shot to at least tie depending on what the Heat do at the FT line.

It's not like they lost by 10 points.

still pretty confident in the thunder, although the 3 straight in miami does look scary. okc handled miami relatively easily in the last 3 quarters. they didn't even go on any huge runs, they just kept chipping away. you just can't go down 16 in the first quarter against a great team.

also, harden is annoying. his flops are actually hurting the team, and i don't understand why at least once a game he'll just flat out put his head down and run straight into somebody in the lane.

Heat played about as good as they're going to play, and OKC played about as bad as they could play for the first 40 minutes of the game and the Heat/refs still barely won. This game doesn't change the fact that the Thunder are the far superior team. The Heat will be lucky to see a game 6.

Then again, a fitting end to this miserable season would probably conclude with a Heat championship...
