Conte and Knox were both placed on IR.

Probably need to pick up a receiver off the scrap heap somewhere. Heck, someone off the scrap heap might be better than most of the guys we are running out there.

Knox will require 4-6 months before he's able to play again.

Carimi is going to have another, more involved surgery to stabilize his knee better, and will take 4 months recovery time.

I knew the Bears were going to have a couple major injuries since they were relatively healthy for the most part last year, but damn. How many teams have ever lost their leading passer, rusher, receiver, and 2 best offensive linemen to the IR, all in the same 1/2 year?

Is this Carimi's second or third surgery? At this rate, not sure if we can ever count on him to be healthy.

I think you can. Sounds like his problems are all this one knee. And this surgery might be able to take care of it for a long time. Similar to Chris Williams' back surgery, hasn't had a problem with it since.

All depends on how the surgery and rehab goes.

That's quite a jump. He injured the knee in college. Not sure if he had sugery then. He had arthroscopic surgery earlier this year, and then when they felt like the knee wasn't as stable as it should be, they decided to do this one to stabilize it better, and tighten it up. He was a "yellow" injury risk in the draft, which means he has had medical issues, but it's not a dealbreaker.

Anyway, it's his first season...and he should be ready before training camp. I don't think we need to overreact much here.
