Yeah, I was honestly just curious to see how it broke down. I was the biggest proponent of this with the Cubs '08 when people were freaking out about our record vs the best teams. That's how it works.

And that stat itself is dumb, IMO. They are 6-6 against the best teams in the league? That's pretty good. You get fat during the regular season against the sucky teams aim to do better than .500 against the rest. Only the exceptional teams (the 96' Bulls, for example) kick the tar out of everyone. This Bulls team isn't on that level and it doesn't need to be....at least not yet. If Miami adds a piece or two they will probably be there themselves.

You're not paying enough attention to how good this team is.

This team, healthy (or even remotely close to it), kicks the tar out of everyone.

Except the Warriors.

Is that the only game they've lost with the starting lineup all playing at the same time?

I know it's a really small sample size, just curious.

Yes. The Bulls are 4-1 with their original starting lineup. All 5 games were on the road against the Lakers, Warriors, Kings, Clippers, and Pistons.

Jeremy Lin or Jordan? Gun to your head, at the same age, who you taking?

Les Grobstein gets the most amazing callers.

Grober is the only chicago radio guy who doesnt come off as a pathetic douche. His callers are usually pretty lonely though.

Douche, no. Pathetic, yes. His show is just sad and dull. Boers and Bernstein may be ass-hats but they're at least entertaining.

Bulls record last year after December 4th against top 4 seed in both conferences (Miami, Boston, Orlando, San Antonio, LA Lakers, Dallas, Oklahoma City): 12-0

Bulls record last year after December 4th against playoff teams in both conferences: 24-6

This is a big reason why I just do not care that people are bringing up the Bulls having trouble beating over 500 teams. When healthy, the Bulls last year won every single big game and beat almost every playoff caliber team we faced. While last year is last year, the Bulls obviously had a young team and the only big differences in players are switching Bogans and Thomas for Hamilton and Lucas.

If the Bulls are healthy I am quite confident we can beat every team at any arena in the NBA during the regular season. In the playoffs I'm only slightly less confident as we did struggle at times against lesser teams with the playoff style of play and then met our match.

Last year I was so paranoid about getting recognition from the masses (I wouldn't be the power rankings guy for nothing) but this year I just don't care.

PS I know some people tend to call out when people use convenient cut off dates to make favorable statistics, but considering the Bulls had 8 new players out of the 12 that had a role on the team, I feel comfortable allowing them a month to get their stuff together.

BTW SSR you don't have to count them up. If you go the ESPN NBA standings and go to expanded standings, it shows each team's record against over .500 and sub .500 teams.

Then what would I do with all that time I spent counting? Work???

Fuckin' 1% scum!!!!

Love the bulls but they are never going to the championship with one superstar. They are a great regular season team. Nothing more or less.

Peace to all....

I know, truth hurts. You know it's true.

Pistons, Spurs and Mavericks all have won titles recently with one or no superstars. The Cavs and Magic have recently made the finals with one. I don't think that argument means too much.

The Bulls also just made the ECF. I think they are a fine playoff team.

Rasheed might have been the only true star on that Detroit team, but everyone knows that Billups, Rip, Prince, and Ben Wallace rounded out one of the most complete starting fives in recent memory.

I agree about the Spurs and Mavs. You're going to have to hope that the role players catch fire and as evident by last year, it can happen.

I don't see how the Bulls can't when with a super star in Rose and then a line up of very good players, Deng, Boozer, Noah and even old Rip and a very good bench. They are already better than all but one team with that line-up and I still say they are evenly matched with that one team.

Thank God, I don't have to bother watching the rest of the season. Thanks CC.
