While I do not like the current BP hats, I do like how the C is white with red trim instead of red with white trim. I would like to see the Cubs switch those colors around on their game hat and go with the white unis some of you are talking about.

 

So, I prefer this:

I would also be curious to see what modernizing this logo on those white unis and the grey ones I posted for the road unis would look like:

Of course, if you put that second logo on the uniform then you would have to go with the wishbone "C" on the hat instead of the current "C." I like the wishbone C, but since there is another team in the division (Reds) and the football team (Bears) have a wishbone "C" it might not work.

Someone is going to bring back the pullover jerseys on a regular basis - it's simply a matter of time. It will be a team that fielded great teams in the era - Reds, Royals, perhaps the Mets. Why not the Cubs? The 1980s put the Cubs back on the map.

 

It's not a bad look when used with belted pants IMO. Stanford wears this style well:

My biggest complaint with the current Cubs uniforms is the lack of detail. The road grays and blue tops especially are begging for some sleeve/collar trim.

I agree with all of this. Why do I hate the cubs road unis but love the yankees? The trim.

 

And the pullovers are great. I think the Royals could do a power blue pullover and it would look awesome.

if not pullovers, then sleeve trim and button/collar piping.

 

i also have an issue with the block text "chicago". i can't quite put my finger on it, and i can't say i have any suggestions. not sure i'd want to go script since that's kind of beer-league/white sox. the "cuba" version never had the right proportions; too few letters meant that for it to have the proper horizontal fill, it would end up being ginormous.

the throwbacks are phenomenal. i would also be in favor of t-shirts with a bar sponsor, as long as someone wears #69.

New/different Chicago lettering on the front of the roads. Blue numbers with red outline (like the homes) on the road jerseys (awesome change IMO, I hate the red numbers).

 

Darker alternate with red numbers and white lettering.
