5) The Assistant District Attorney that is finally investigating the allegations and eyewitness accounts suddenly disappears? They find his laptop minus the HD in a river/lake. His disappearance can't be a coincidence. Was he paid off to disappear? Was he killed? What was on the HD?

didn't he decide not to prosecute sandusky in 1998? and he disappeared in 2005.

Also this weird tidbit:

In May 1996, Roy J. Gricar -- Ray Gricar's brother and Tony Gricar's dad -- disappeared in Dayton, Ohio. His car was found abandoned across the street from the office where his son worked. A search of the area was conducted, but authorities found no trace of Roy Gricar.

"He was missing for a few days before his body turned up in the [Great Miami] River," Tony Gricar said. "He was a mile down the river. His body found one morning by joggers on a bike path that runs by there."

The coroner later ruled Roy Gricar's death a suicide by drowning. He reportedly had been fired from his job as a private contractor at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in the days leading up to his death and had suffered from bipolar disorder.

It would be pretty crazy if somebody involved had the guy killed. But maybe he realized he made a huge mistake in allowing PSU people to convince him not to prosecute, and he killed himself after being confronted with more evidence or victims.

In reference to that Sports by Brooks tweet from last night:

Reports are that WEEI's Mark Madden reported that Second Mile and Jerry Sandusky were pimping out young boys to rich donors. Take it with a grain of salt and pray to whatever deity you believe in that it isn't true.

Isn't Madden the guy that wrote the article back in April about Sandusky?

I literally just prayed to God that it isn't true.

McQueary has to be fired. He has to be.

I agree, but somehow that doesn't seem to be enough. I don't think he can be brought up on charges but they need to investigate this guy at a minimum to make sure that his bank account didn't receive a single big deposit around the time this all occurred.

Mark Madden on WEEI. He says the Second Mile thing, and also alleges that Sandusky was forced to quit in 1999 in exchange for a cover-up. It's a little ways in.

first thing he says is it wasn't so much good reporting as all of that stuff was public knowledge. This is true. This story has been around a while and for some reason media in PA completely ignored it.

I'm starting to think it's a big enough red flag that he has risen through the coaching ranks. I can't help but think he was motivated by his career and "protecting" the program.

I believe there were allegations in 2004 as well. And....after two eyewitness accounts of graphic abuse of multiple children, how do you not prosecute?

i just find it very hard to believe penn state arranged for the murder of a DA in order to protect a retired coach/molester. i think it's much more likely that it's a coincidence.

Of course you can't help but think that. It's obvious.

unless the 2nd mile pimp story is true, in which a bunch of rich donors would be in need of protection.

Penn State, no. But if Sandusky had contact with rich donors through Second Mile one of them could have fronted the money to have the guy offed to protect everyone's ass in this.

if the DA was on to the pimping thing, you think he would be the only one in the office that knew about it? and that killing him would put an end to the investigation?

How the hell is Ashton Kutcher against this move when he's supposed to be all about anti-sex abuse/prostitution.

He has since admitted he made the first statement without knowing the background and put himself in Twitter time-out. Dumb, dumb statment to make without familiarizing yourself at least a little beforehand.

EDIT- not dumb by you, jersey, dumb by Kuchar to make the statement about Paterno intially. When I re-read that it didn't sound right.

In a small town where everybody's first instinct is to protect JoePa, Penn State, the football organization and the enitre economy that depends on it almost exclusively, potentially.

I read an article this morning that did not mention a thing about why he was fired, just that he was and that students were upset.
