I love Aramis and will miss him quite a bit, but I don't see the upside to what his agent is doing in ripping Brenly. If he had to comment I would simply say, "Aramis' record speaks for itself. He's been as productive as any 3B in the NL over the last 10 years."

The national perception of Ramirez is based upon the ignorant rants of local media. He's choosing to combat that perception.

Yeah, but why give it more traction? Leave it behind in Chicago.

It already has traction. Everybody who reports on Ramirez reports bases it on the perception supplied by Kaplan, , Brenly, Sullivan & Co. We've seen multiple comments by Buster Olney, Timmy K and others who all bad mouth Ramirez.

And Ramirez and his agent haven't said anything about it his whole time here. Now that he's ended his time in Chicago his agent is, rather diplomatically, countering those criticisms.

To be fair, Ramirez rather aggressively countered criticisms just a couple months ago (I believe it was Hollandsworth who he went after). They have every right to respond, but this isn't the first time his side has responded.

This isn't the first, but that was, no? Ramirez has been remarkably quiet his entire time in Chicago, not anywhere close to a boat rocker or anything of the sort. Probably a lot like Sandberg in that regard. But of course...

I would ask Brenly, the trolls Sullivan and Rosenblab and anyone else who has a problem with A-Ram to answer this: Do the Cubs win three division titles without him? A simple yes or no.

Include your boy Kapman on that list.

Free-agent third baseman Aramis Ramirez has met with the Angels, sources told Foxsports.com's Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi, and a contract offer is likely forthcoming.

It’s believed the meeting took place this week.

Mostly the rally monkey and bc their manager "plays the game the right way."

Hate is a strong word. They just annoy me. I want ramirez on a team I like. or the mariners so I can wait outside safeco and apologize for the ill treatment he received from the Chicago media.

Why do you hate the Angels? I keep forgetting they exist.

But they keep doing dumb things to remind you though this wouldn't be one of them.

Otherwise, yes, they're no more worth hating than the Seattle Seahawks.

I figured this was a likely destination for him. It seems the times when his contract was up with us, they Angels were always rumored to be interested in him before we resigned him.

I'm with you. Completely forgettable organization.

playing for the angels is like playing in singapore.

Do they cain you for [expletive] up?

Is that some new slang for sexually harassing someone?
