that's rather amazing considering how long both teams have been around

Rashied Davis won't be able to sleep tonight

I wonder how many WR's have ever played for both teams? Obviously at least two...lol.

According to FO's latest playoff odds, the Bears are now the most likely team to get the second wildcard in the NFC. (Detroit the first, and though Dallas and Atlanta have better playoff odds, they have an actual chance to win the division).

I dont know the receivers that have played for the Lions and Bears, but I think it's interesting that the Bears are the only NFC North team not to have ever employed Nate Burleson

I must have missed the time when he was on the Packers.

I would probably take the corpse of Nate Burleson over some of the players we have at wide receiver.

Dane Sanzenbacher, your high energy and effort aside, I'm looking at you.

Now Bernard Berrian on the other hand? Not so much. He and Ben Gordon's career have pretty much the exact same arc too, its eery.

Sure, he's dropped some balls. But, he's not afraid to go across the middle. Or maybe he is because he keeps dropping balls across the middle. Hmmm.

Actually, with a little more work, I think he could be a decent enough possession receiver to spell Bennett occasionally, which was what he basically was before Bennett got hurt.

A possession receiver with such limited skills has to be much better at catching the ball than he is. It's not just over the middle drops.

dammit I thought he was. Am I thinking of another oft travelled WR? I seem to remember a WR being good and then going to the Packers and hurting himself or soemthing or getting in trouble or both.

Koren Robinson?

Yup...I realize he never played for Detroit, but somehow along the way Burleson and Robinson became mixed in my mind, and Burleson took over for Robinson's career so Koren Burleson played for MIN, GB and DET.

Yup Berrian was cut this morning. Went from demanding a #1 WR type contract from the Bears to getting cut from one of the worst teams in football. Letting him walk was probably the best thing Angelo ever did.

A lot of confidence from you guys about the Eagles. I think the Eagles are very dangerous. It would be a very good win for us.

Reasons that I feel confident about beating the Eagles, that may or may not be accurate:

1) Vick hasn't exactly torn up the Bears historically. In his career, he's only beaten the Bears 1 out of 5 tries, is 72-123 for 870 yards, 3 TD's, 3 INT's.

2) The Eagles haven't had an extremely tough schedule. They've only beaten the Rams and Redskins...not exactly brag worthy.

3) Bears will be coming off 2 weeks of preparation, and should have everyone healthy. There's really no situation, other than maybe opening day, that will be better for the Bears to be ready for a game.

lol wow.

I know Conte has looked ok but, why intentionally kill our depth there. There must have been something going on behind the scenes unless the Bears are being super cheap here.

I'm guessing because they said Major Wright would take the starting job back indefinitely and Harris asked if they would cut him so he could get on with another team and possibly earn his last contract.
