So glad LLF made that Xmas in Oct. post. Did we get Theo today?

Yup, because that's why the Phillies offense sucked for the past 4 games. Why is it Ok to believe in nonsensical curses and jinxes but not Santa Claus?

I don't see why your surprised anyway. You've been guarantying the Cardinals a spot in The WS the entire game.

I'm not shocked, at all. I had a bad feeling this was coming when they crept in. And you can't believe in Santa if you have kids. Cause if you do the tree is empty.

I am usually incredibly spiteful about my hatred for St. Louis, more so than most. The only good thing about that soul-sucking worthless franchise continuing to have good things happen to it is that for a little while I won't be alone.

Go Brewers.

It's cruel coincidence that just like the 08 Cubs, the 11 Phillies were the best team in baseball and had a golden chance to create a better matchup for themselves in the postseason and seemingly chose not to.

The 08 Cubs of course could have drawn the free-falling Mets but chose seemingly to aid in their collapse by playing scrubs against Milwaukee the final week of the season, and the 11 Phillies pulled their 'honor of the game' nonsense against Atlanta.

Oy.

oh i'm pretty bitter too. the cubs have won one [expletive] playoff series in 100 years; the cards fall into the playoffs thanks to one of the worst collapses in baseball history and then knock off a superior team with one of the best rotations in mlb history. [expletive] that.

I really don't know how any Cub fan could actually root for the Cardinals, but I'm not going to judge anyone.

Since our best chance in 2003, we've seen 3 major championship droughts ended, our 2 top rivals win the World Series, and 4 of the 6 teams who had never been to a World Series get in.

And watch the Brewers win 4 playoff games to our 0. Man, Jim Hendry made a giant mess here.

So, who do you guys like in the AL? I think I'll be rooting for Detroit b/ c of Verlander.

I've always liked the Rangers so I will probably pull for them though I have no issue at all with the Tigers winning.

So angry with the Cubs organization for the product we've seen on the field in the past decade. I know it was better than any recent decade, but this division was setup for them to financially dominate and they completely dropped the ball.

Seeing the Cardinals continually have cheap talent sickens me. How are they able to keep all of their rotation, trade away their best prospect, overpay for the player they got in return for that prospect, take a flier on a 2010 bench player who turns into a top 5 hitter in the league, and still get better production from an unexpected source at the position that the aforementioned prospect was supposed to fill? All the while, they have one of the best hitters in the game playing at half of what he is worth (for an entire decade now).

I'm hoping for a Detroit (same reason, Verlander's the man) vs. Milwaukee WS.

It'd probably be ignored in the ratings, but it'd be one hell of a series. Verlander possibly as many as 3 times vs. the Fielder/Braun duo would be sick to watch.

I actually don't mind the Brewers. I liked them as a kid when they were in the AL and I've never really grown to dislike them. I'll root for the Tigers in the AL because I have a friend in Michigan who's a big Tigers fan, but if Texas wins it won't bother me a bit.

Right now, my stance is "Anyone but the Cardinals."

These playoffs have been amazing so far, and I hope it continues.

Detroit also has great depth. Great offense, including one of the best hitters in baseball. Solid rotation including the best starter in baseball and a solid bullpen.

Any word on if Delmon Young will miss any time because of injury?

Rotoworld says no.
