Vancouver reminds me of the Blues before their downfall.

Yeah I agree with that. Though I didn't hate the Blues like I do the Canucks. Maybe I was just too young and didn't hate Brett because his name was Hull.

The Blues were rather easy to dislike, at least to this Wings fan. I don't think the Hawks were good enough through those years that most of their fans really gave a crap.

I think I just focused my hate on the Wings.

The Wings had several players who were easy to dislike back then also. I think part of their current problem is that they don't have enough guys who really get under the other teams skin.

When I was a kid I had three teams I liked, the Blackhawks, Blues and Sabres (and since I was a kid it was a casual following of all three) It wasn't until after the lockout when I was able to focus my attention on one team.

Because I liked the Blues and Sabres I went through a stretch where I love Hull at one point and then hated him because of his goal for Dallas vs Buffalo in the finals.

I still can't muster up too much hate for the Blues though even though I probably should.

It wasn't even about the players. With the North Stars, it was. Ciccarelli and the like. I just knew I hated the Wings.

As an adult and just slightly more rational, you're right. There's not all that much to actually dislike about the Wings of the last decade.

Give it another playoff series and maybe I'll sing a different tune. That '09 series wasn't all that intense. Seemed like a foregone conclusion.

I don't quite get this one. I can't say I hate the Canucks, because they never actually win. And they're cartoony fun when they inevitably blow up.

They're kind of the fun team to watch explode. The whole city too, not just the team. I love those soul-searching Vancouver Sun articles.

If they actually come through one day, I'll hate them for real :)

And I dislike the Canucks because of the way they play. The diving, the dirty play and then the "who me?" attitude about it.

Sure I love that they implode and Luongo is the worst contract in sports. But they are such a hateable team.

The Blackhawks built a nice little rivalry with Vancouver the last few years thus I hate them. I hope they play them again because they have all been fun series.

I worry they will take multiple runs and Toews' head, because that's the type of team they are and because of the Sedin situation.

Toews confirmed he is playing.

Has it been confirmed that the Coyotes are still going to go through with the series after learning of this news?

Jesse Rogers is working on that.

So they are doing the white-out thing. Two things. It's gonna look stupid with all those red Hawks jerseys there. But won't the Hawks be wearing the road white unis?

By the way this day couldn't be moving any slower.

I have always thought it was a big slap in the face of Winnipeg fans that the Coyotes did the white out.

Don't half the teams in the league do the stupid white out thing? Tampa and Florida tried it. Pittsburgh as well.

I think Calgary and Winnipeg were the first NHL teams to do it. Calgary did the C of Red while the Jets did the White Out. It started in some playoff series in the 80s if I remember correctly
