another completely ridiculous stat:

For the 2nd year in a row, Denard accounted for well over 90% of Michigan's total offense: 446/452 yards or 98.7%! The backs combined for a total of 10 yards. I'm beginning to think this game should just be renamed Denard vs. Notre Dame.

98.7%, inconceivable

Denard should thank his lucky stars that none of the ESPN types have pointed out in their slobbering that he pretty much spent the whole game throwing up dead ducks into double coverage and ND DBs were polite enough to run themselves out of easy INTs repeatedly.

i strongly doubt their opinions mean that much to him

mark may's scathing critique of jason white led to his knee injuries and current career as clothes salesman, instead of all-time great nfl qb

More coming out today on Terrelle Pryor. The 3 kids who were suspended last week for accepting $200 at a charity event were given the money by TP (via a booster). Apparently he was hooking up his boys.

So between this, loaner cars, the tattoo scandal, selling game stuff for $40,000, etc., how much more stuff will come out?

And why is Tressell still defending him?

And the booster is trying to take the blame for it now. Lets just shut down the program for a year.

Thought about buying a last-minute ticket from Chicago to Tallahassee for the game this weekend. I was going to leave on Saturday AM, tailgate, go to the game, go out afterwards, and head to the airport for a return ticket home early Sunday AM - and just hope I could get a ticket for around $100 or so.

Saw the airfare come to $1,673, and decided that I'm better off buying the new TV we were considering. Ouch.

What in God's name made you think you could buy an airplane ticket the week of your flight for $100?

I assume he meant a game ticket for $100.

I'm going to West Point for the NU-Army game. Can't wait to check out Michie Stadium...

Jon is too (although I don't think he has posted here since college basketball season).

well that's certainly a bad article.

Excellent critique, sir.

it was basically an article written to get attention by trolling the longhorns, since he assumed that texas haters would love it and texas supporters would hate it. obviously the writer's plan worked to perfection in your case.

The ACC has been talked about as a fall back option as the will allow Texas to do what they want with basically no questions asked. It would be bad ass baseball conference, which it already is. It's just not the 1st choice. They will further explore Big 10 and ND partnerships first.

Obviously any Aggie is going to get a chuckle reading something like that, but it's not like I'm throwing it out there as the gospel truth. I find it hard to believe that Texas would have to beg any conference for admission. As much as I dislike them, it's clear that they bring a lot of positives to whatever conference they are in. They do bring some negatives too, but those would be limited in a powerful conference like the SEC, B1G, and possibly PAC-12.

Fly to Panama City on Southwest and drive the 2 hours to Tally. Much cheaper usually.

What a garbage article. I'm no Texas fan, but this idea that Texas came in and forced a bunch of change on these poor innocent Big 8 schools is a joke. The unequal revenue sharing that teams like aTm and Nebraska have made such a big deal over? They all voted for it. All the power brokers in the Big 8/Big 12 had the opportunity to install equal money distribution. But guess what. Schools like aTm and Nebraska didn't want to share. They knew they would be bringing home the serious loot, and they wanted to keep it for themselves. (KU was also against it. They make a nice chunk off tier 3 hoops rights, and they didn't want to share.) 15 years later, two of these schools are the biggest whiners about the deal THEY pushed for and are leaving the conference.

All 12 schools also voted to have a watered down, powerless commissioner. Can't bitch about Beebe (and what changes he's capable of effecting) when he's the monster YOU created.

Kevin Weiberg approached the Big 12 about having a dedicated network. The schools all passed. Weiberg quit as Big 12 commish and sold the idea to the Big 10. Once again, all 12 schools shoot themselves in the foot.

UT approached aTm about being a partner in the LHN a while back. aTm passed. UT got the nerve to go it alone, and look what happened. They got a ton of money out of it. Now aTm has their panties in a wad over it.

Texas is and always has been one vote in the Big 12. They got control because the original Big 8 never nutted up and stood up to them. As a result, the power shifted south. The money shifted south. And the cracked foundation for this dying conference was irreparably laid. Texas carries a lot of blame. But so do all the other schools.
