What word did Jaws use?

 

I could have sworn I heard Gruden say "Sh_t set your feet and throw right there" earlier, but maybe it was Jaws.

 

 

I don't see a "THIS GUY" in your quote, so I'll go with Jaws.

We had runbacks this week, though. We're going to have to wait for successive weeks to rail on the kickoff rule. It didn't really hurt things this week. Plenty of ST action was to be found.

Why can't the team who had their punt blocked recover the ball and keep possession as if it were a muff or something like that?

 

Because that would be dumb and penalize a team for doing something good while rewarding incompetence. A muffed return has to be past the line of scrimmage when contact is made. A block occurs behind the line.

I guess I don't understand the question. You can recover the ball if it doesn't cross the line of scrimmage, but you still have to make the 1st down after you recover to keep possession. Otherwise people would get their punt blocked as a strategy.

Didn't hurt things except for 80% of kickoffs were touchbacks, whereas about 25% were in an average week last year.

Awesome, Janikowski ties the NFL record with a 63 yard FG right before the half.

 

They showed pregame footage of him hitting from 70 yards out.
