The course is getting really good reviews and should be pretty tough. Tonight Nobilo was doing a Tee to Green on #15 which looks like a bitch. 256 yards with water all along the right and sand along the left and back.

Hopefully we get some Tiger in the mix this weekend.

Tiger is -3 through 5 and tied for the lead. Not that it means anything. Would really like to see him involved in a close one on Sunday.

I'm rooting for an Adam Scott/Tiger Woods pairing on Sunday.

Not gonna happen now. Yikes Tiger.

Good lord, I should've looked at the leaderboard before I posted that.

I don't want to say Tiger's done, but I don't know if he'll ever be "Tiger" again.

seriously, the guy should be able to afford a revolving entourage of 'strange' if that is what makes his motor run.

I'm guessing that his injuries are a bit more of a factor.

No, he's pretty close to being done. Next year is the make or break year. If he stays healthy, wins a few tournaments and/or a major, he could have a chance at the record. If not, it's one of the strangest and most precipitous declines in the history of sports. Either way, he won't be the Tiger of 1997-2007 ever again.

No doubt he's done being Tiger, but there's varying levels of done here. You have David Duvall done, and you have Ernie Els done. Tiger is young enough where he shouldn't disappear for a while. But maybe he just turns into a guy who wins a random tournament on occasion and rarely contends in majors.

The question would be whether Tiger can handle just being one of the guys after you spent so long being "the" guy. Granted, he can still make millions placing well 20 or so times a year, but someone as competitive as he is might rather just walk away if they can no longer dominate.

I would question whether he could handle just walking away more than whether he can handle not being elite. He's already lost millions to his ex and has lost advertisers, my guess is he will want to prove, at the very least, that he can win a couple more majors before it's over.

Yeah, he really wants that majors record.

I may be talking out my ass here, but Johnny Miller seems to be a good comp. He was never as dominant as Tiger, but certainly had the ego that couldn't take not being the best.

Anyone watching this meltdown-fest?

He composed himself on 18 to get to the playoff, but it seems to be slipping away from Dufner now.

I made that crack about the ratings, but this is some compelling golf despite the lack of big names.

Obviously you would rather have a finish like that with big names but that was great drama and some really good golf. Out of the last 7 majors, the last two PGA's have been at the top of the list.

Glad to see Bradley win it. I think he has a legit future whereas Duffner was more of a fluke.

I think Tiger needs to play more. A lot more. Obviously he can't make the Fed Ex Cup playoffs, but playing regularly is the best way to get his old form back.

Yep. And Tiger said that his "victory" this week was being able to play for two straight weeks without aggravating an injury.
