The Cardinals also had an issue with the lighting at home plate when they were batting compared to when the Brewers were batting. Manager Tony La Russa declined to comment on the situation but Brewers GM Doug Melvin told reporters that they were contacted by the Commissioner's Office about the issue. They were told that no changes needed to be made. The Cardinals apparently had an issue with the messages playing on the ribbon board attached to the third deck. The color and brightness of the board was apparently different when the Cardinals were batting compared to when the Brewers came up to the plate.
