The M*A*S*H Unit known as the Chicago Cubs (7 currently on the DL - could be 8 with Sori), looking to stop being embarrassed by the worst team in baseball.

Making his MLB de-butt:

Jordan Lyles, RHP

0-0, -.-- ERA

http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_543475.jpg

vs

Carlos "I take BP with an aluminum bat" Zambrano

5-2, 4.59 ERA

http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_407296.jpg

If Lyles was left-handed, I'd say it would be a 100% guarantee of a loss, but instead I'll set it at 97.2% - we make almost everyone's debut (or someone we've never seen) look like a Cy Young outing.

That being said -- GO CUBS!

I feel like that's something every team says. I wish there was a way to track team stats against a pitcher making his first MLB start.

I can say with 1000% confidence that I have heard fans of nearly every team in baseball (Yankees included) complain that their team, without fail, makes pitchers making their MLB debut look like instant aces.

I remember seeing on Sports Center or one of those shows when they called this guy up for Wandy that he was the #31 prospect in baseball, and baseball reference has him listed as #42, so hes used to shutting down minor leaguers.

No shame is losing back to back home series to the Pirates and Astros, right?

But our offense is so inconsistent!!

And we average like negative 0.1 runs per bases loaded opportunity!

Lyles is actually a good prospect though -- not a Ryan O'Malley or Casey Coleman.
