How is that even relevant? It's $900k for one season.

probably backloaded

with a NTC

bet he signed the contract in icing. LULZ

The whole thing was drawn up on an unfolded Krispy Kreme box.

Prior strained his groin after he and Davis were rubbing vaginas in between simulated games.

900K or not, I just don't see the need for hand wringing over Doug Davis. Davis has been a serviceable starter over his career. I don't think he will in any way impede Cashner returning to the rotation, unless there are concerns about Cashner's well being.

I don't expect much from Davis, but he probably can't be any worse than Russell. We need to do something about that fifth spot, and Davis if nothing else, has been a soild pitcher when healthy. Considering the other options available, I'm not going to get upset over Davis in the rotation.

And if he pitches well, he can replace Coleman in the rotation when the first of Wells/Cashner comes back.

It also wouldn't be a bad idea to keep him around as the 7th bullpen arm in case we need a spot start here or there and then don't need to either force everyone to watch another Russell start or make a roster move to bring up Coleman to get shelled.

I don't understand the concern about Davis getting a start. Somebody like him should have been around a month ago.

This.

I'm not sure what Jay Jackson has done to be considered an option at this point.

When are they scheduled to come back? :beg:
