I was at a restaurant during the 2nd half and there would be a smattering of applause every once in a while but when Dallas cut the deficit to 4, a bunch of people just broke out cheering all at once and we were completely into the game the rest of the way. I found it amusing because I assume I was surrounded by Laker fans who hated the Mavs 2 weeks ago.

I have yet to figure out why the Lakers fans hate the Heat so much. Never played Wade or Lebron in a Finals. Handed Shaq in the prime of his career which led to a dynasty. After that, handed Gasol in his prime which lead to another. Loaded their team up with Payton, Malone, Shaq and Kobe one year.

Is it because Lebron is seen as some threat to Kobe being the best player or what? Or is it because the Heat are doing what the Lakers have been doing for the past decade?

It's probably both. They're already talking about getting Dwight Howard and yet they complain about Lebron and Bosh signing up Wade.

I think Laker fans would probably be more bitter if it were a hard fought 7 game series with the Mavs. But it wasn't much of a series. There's no denying that the better team won, much like the Heat-Bulls series. So it all comes down to hating the Heat, like it does the rest of the country.

Personally, I wouldn't have hated Dallas no matter how many games they took to beat the Lakers. I don't really know why, but Jason Terry annoys me, but he's the only Maverick I dislike. I didn't really care either way who won the OKC-Dallas series because there wasn't much to dislike about either team. And what they did tonight was the same thing they did in Game 1 and 3 against the Lakers. LA hit Dallas with its best shot and Dallas just came right back and wasn't fazed at all. It's pretty amazing.

Also, MVP of the series so far has to be Chris Bosh.

He's a combined 9-34 in the two games for 31 total points.

Good lord is that frustrating after he went 42-70 for 19.2 points per game in the ECF.

The entire league pretty much hates the Heat.

ugh, wade laying on the ground there

basketball needs to make flopping a technical foul so damn bad

The replay was hilarious. Wade lying on the floor, grabbing his eye only after the shot missed, and pathetically looking towards the officials.

i loved that he had lots of momentum going forward, landed and immediately fell backwards. like he was shot with a bazooka or hit an imaginary wall. then he has the gall to put his hands out when he's lying on the ground. but the reason he did it is because so many nba refs are stupid enough to fall for it.

if it wasn't dirk, it might have been called.

LOL at Bosh crying on the ground.

What happened? Did an invisible Carlos Boozer really hit him with his elbow this time?

It's about time the officials stop falling for the flopping by the cHeat. Maybe he really got hit. Who knows? But why should we believe him?

I've seen three replays and I've yet to see anyone make contact with him.

I really can't believe all this crap about the big 3 not having a supporting cast. Anthony is a defensive beast, and Bibby is pretty damn good. So are Miller and Haslem.

If they don't win, its because the big 3 are overrated. Simple as that.

Wade should get an Accademy Award for his performance tonight.

I'd like to see the NBA come up with a version of an embelleshment foul such as the NHL' embelleshment penalty. I know Michael got calls but, I don't remember him acting or being as obnoxious as Wade and James.

They should call technicals and fine after the fact. It's one thing to flop after contact. But these guys are blatantly flopping after no contact. It would definitely help clean up the game. It's becoming worse than soccer.

All stars get a little benefit of the doubt, but the [expletive] James and Wade get away with is [expletive].

We are seeing what separates the Mavs from the Bulls. The Mavs can make up a 15 point lead against the Heat pretty easily. For the Bulls, a 10 point lead is insurmountable.

This is insane to see Miami randomly getting abused a little bit by the officials.

It's also amazing to see Miami running its offense through Wade, not James down the stretch. An obvious result from Game 2.
