Ugh, what an annoying inning. Between the bunt that didn't roll foul and Colvin [expletive] up in RF, Z's probably annoyed.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

If he can get Downs here, he should be able to make it through seven with the 8-9-1 coming up next inning.

I would be very interested to see Zambrano's career ERA in innings after he hits a home run. There may be nothing to it, but it sure seems to me like he tends to lose concentration more often after he hits a home run.

And so much for that.

Barney, you ass

That's on Colvin. He's got a much better vantage point and needs to call off the 2B.

Ok, I'm assuming that he tried and failed to. And yes, if he didn't try to call him off, Colvin's got the blown play plus a stupid call on his head.

Quades inability to tell when his pitcher has had enough strikes again.

Can't really chalk this up on Quade yet. Zambrano's been cruising and up until that HR the Astro's offense consisted of some dinky singles, a bunt that refused to go over the line and Colvin not making an easy out.

Jesus Quade, you've been burned 4 times now by leaving your guy in way too long when he's getting shelled. Unreal, this and the first game should have been an easy win.

Now I have to juggle 3 games at once, thanks Quade

This marks the 2nd time in 3 days that we appeared to have a laugher vs. one of the worst teams in baseball and allowed them to make their way back into it. Hopefully this one ends the same way the last one did. Makes that inning we had the bases juiced with 0 out look pretty big.

They actually ended up getting the out at second on the Colvin play. Who knows if the Lee would have tagged up and scored from third, though. Either way, there was still going to be the runner on first and Downs hit a HR after so that likely doesn't change much.

Still frustrating though.
