Not going to start an "other games" thread, but holy crap, the White Sox bullpen [expletive] the bed again. Up 4-1 in the 9th and, I believe, Thornton gives up 3 runs and then 3 more in the 10th. And Pierre had his 3rd error in LF again (though it was earlier in the game). Gonna tune in for the hopefully epic Ozzie meltdown.

I'd rather hear the Hawk silence.

Hah! Comcast cut away from Ozzie's press conference because he was spraying s-bombs.

Though apparently Sale had pitched 2 innings the night before and Thornton was rested and he still opted to go with Sale. Yeah, Thornton has already blown his share of saves this year, but if he's rested and they have a 3-run lead then put him in over the guy who just used for 2 innings the night before.

I watched the end of that game. My favorite part was Hawk saying that the best left handed reliever he ever saw in his 52 years in the game was Dan Plesac.

That's only because it was unfair to opponents if Yaz pitched.

I think Sale's time as closer may be coming sooner rather than later.

Heh, check that, because my post was wrong; Sale was responsible for the 3 runs in the 9th (or at least loaded the bases before he was pulled). Thornton then pitched the 10th and gave up 10 himself. Hysterical.

They both have ERAs of over 7.00 right now. Looks like they need Plan C.

Also in the White Sox game, Juan Pierre was caught stealing his first time up and then got caught at 2b with a pick off move at 1b that caught him napping.

Speed doesn't slump, dude.

The fact that Reed Johnson isn't starting for Soriano, who is pretty much helpless aganst Wandy leads me to believe that Reeds days are severely numbered. In fact, as soon as Kosukes ready to come back, I wouldn't be surprised to see Reed replaced with someone from Iowa.

And that's why you don't make managerial decisions on a 26 AB sample.

I guess I'm a bit surprised Reed isn't in there instead of Colvin, however.

This is true. Reed Johnson is still pretty useless though unless hes starting vs. lefties.

hopefully people will shut up about the cubs not getting hits with 2 outs.

Also, pitching matchups.
